Linda Lynn
mother of Bobbie Sedberry Nichols
I noticed a request from several years ago about the parents of Bobbie Sedberry Nichols. If you still have not found their names, you can find her mother's name in Bobbie's obituary. It was published in the Guardian Journal, Homer, LA, on 22 November 1990. It is on file at the Broadmoor Branch, Shreve Memorial Library, Shreveport, LA.

I happen to have a copy of it and would gladly send it to you if you wish.

Please contact me tomorrow at:
WGB97@elp.rr.com.
I have quite a bit on this Gregory family along James GREGORY's probably parents/siblings.
It may take me a while to remember all the BATES/GREGORY connections but they span about four generations and contain both tragedy and triumph as well as connecting into both Northern connected counties.

Robert Sedberry
Hi, just got your suggest a correction about Robert Sedberry. There is no true "DeSiard Street Cemetery." The cemetery Robert Sedberry is buried in is named "Old City" or "Monroe City." I think someone added a cemetery and called it DeSiard St. Cemetery on findagrave. I also checked on the Louisiana Cemetery Board and none listed there. I grew up in Monroe, have ancestors buried there, I see where it can be confusing, there are two old cemeteries on DeSiard, Old/Monroe City is one, the other is Magnolia. Here is a link to the transcription source where I found his name: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/ouachita/cemeteries/monroeci.txt Would you mind moving your memorial into Old City so I can delete mine? I will also make sure to look for his monument next time I go that way. I'll let you know if I can find anything else out about the Sedberrys in Ouachita Parish. Thanks for letting me know about the duplicate listing!

I have to agree with Rita Osborne.
Please do not post biographical information and obituaries to the flower section on memorials.
You sent the info to me thru the edit tab, which I would have added. Why put the same info in the flower/note section?

I do not know if you are still following this but just noticed it again and have quite a few questions.

1. I have emanuel Esarum GREGORY's second wife as Ida Mae BRYANT, married abt 1917 Ashley County.

2. I have Emanuel Esarum GREGORY's first wife as Annie WARREN, married bat 1914 Ashley County.

3. I have Ida Mae BATES's husband as Alvin SEDBERRY, married bat 1913 Ashley County.

Just about all of my original information came from someone who also lived in Ashley County and it was her father that was the original researcher. I do not know if she is still interested in research or not.

I have also been in contact with someone who is in contact with another BATES relative (non internet) of Ashley County.

My email address is: WGB97([At])ell.rr.com.

Forgot something.

In the two days of shooting the photos the total photos was 2155. I have three batteries for my camera and had to leave my car running with a portable charger inside to recharge the batteries while I walked the rows so I could keep on shooting.

It still was fun. I have been wanting to come back to Hamburg Cemetery since I first visited in 2012. And a cemetery with only 21% photos was begging me to return.

Thank again,

John Robertshaw

Hello Sedberry,

As of today I am finished entering photo in the Hamburg Cemetery. After today you won't be getting any more suggestions or edits from me.

Thank you for all your work. If you had not enter the many, many people in the cemetery already I would probably have another two weeks of work to go.

When I started the cemetery was only 21% photographed. Today the cemetery is 89% photographed. It took two days just to shoot the photos, row by row and section by section.

There were 1622 memorial pages when I started and now there are 2191 memorial pages.

All in all it was great fun and thanks again for your help and patience.

RE: MEMORIAL 110668431
I made a photograph of the headstone for this memorial and noticed a discrepancy in the spelling of the first name. The stone states "Minah McClain Locke," and the name on the memorial is "Miniah McClain Locke." Would you change the name to match the headstone?

I appreciate your work with FindAGrave very much.

Sincerely,

Sharon Prescott Rogers

Hello. I am the sister of Barbara Susan Buck Farmer whose grave is in the Cross Roads Cemetery in Crossett, Ashley Co., AR. Please note that her birthdate is incorrect. Instead of it being June 31, it is actually May 31. The year you have (1946) is correct. Thank you for all you do to help us with all this wonderful information.

RE: Sedberry photos
I saw where the military marker wasn't listed for one of the Sedberry's so that is why I sent you a message so incase you wanted to save it to your family records.

If I run across that name in the future then I will holler at you again.

RE: Mary Blazier
My goal is to photograph every headstone in Ashley County. Its a shame that some you cannot read due to their age and weathering, so I'm trying to get pictures on record while still legible. I have that book of cemeteries from 1992 (ha ha), using it to find some cemeteries. Makes my job easier if there is a memorial page already made. I'm still working thru the pictures of Eden cemetery, so you may be getting a few more correction requests from me - ha ha.
