RE: Merrit Rose/John Richard
Yes Diane, I have all that information, I contacted a family in Colorado that is a daughter of the second John Richard Rose, those roses like to keep there name going, anyway if you are on facebook you can contact Barbie Henrie-Demarco, her mother was a Rose, John Richard Rose, on find a grave as Johnie Richard Rose, then I have links that you can follow back to Merritt Rose, of course Merritt's father was Richard Rose, a brother to my William Rose of 1812. Both from Nash Co, NC, there father was Amos Rose, then if you hit Paul Lawrence's genealogy site you can follow a bunch of rose's all the way back to William of 1622//
thanks for the contact..

Merrit Rose/John Richard
This father and son are my kin, Merrit's father was Richard Rose, from Nash Co, NC, he was the brother to my William Rose of 1812, his father was Amos Rose + Lydia Etheridge all descended from William Rose of 1622, migrated from England circ 1650 to James City VA and is known as William Rose of Surry Co, VA, I am his 7th great grandson. Living in Mississippi where William of 1812 settled in 1836. I have DNA that ties me to Amos and back to William of Surry. What kin are you to this family?

RE: Curtis E. Belford
I added your comment to the Curtis E. Belford memorial at Machpelah cemetery in Lititz - I found the following: "There is a Social Security Death Record for a Curtis E. Belford with a DOB: 6 Jul 1905/ DOD: 3 Dec 1991, that was issued in Pennsylvania."
I believe this record probably belongs to the memorial I entered. Hopefully a family member will see the information and sort it all out.
Thank you again for the info.
Best wishes, Dana

RE: Thanks
Thanks, and please keep adding to FIND A GRAVE web site here, as it's a wonderful site to do genealogy on, and also to help fellow kinfolk! And yes, I am related (shirt-tail) to the Tinsley's who married into my Dad's side of the Family in Trigg County; Kentucky! Most of my Dad's people are from Trigg county area.
Thanks again, and warmest regards to you!

RE: Merritt Rose and wife Mary
Hi Diane!
I think it is just fabulous that you put headstone photos up for Merritt & Mary Jane Tinsley Rose and added those to the web site here! I went in & tried to link Merrit Rose & Mary Tinsley Rose with their son, Richard Rose, but the system wouldn't let me, so I think you might be able to do it. Merritt's Memorial number is: 49383237 and Mary Jane's is: 49383124. Where you are maintaining Richard Roses Memorail page, I think that you will be able to link your folks. Give it a try, and I hope it works for you!
It's great to see Ancestors being added to the Web site! Good luck to you, & let me know if you need anymore help~

RE: Lydia Gay findagrave
Hi, I'll be happy to make the suggested changes. The way to request them is to click on edit (from the findagrave entry page for the person) then click on "suggest a correction" - that way the link will be sent to me, & makes it a lot easier.

RE: Williams family
Hi Diane

I do have an Anne Williams in my family but I doubt if there is a connection. She was born in 1884 in Llanllyfni, CAE, Wales. The youngest of eleven children of Robert and Mary Williams. I have no reason to believe that she ever came to the USA. My Williams/Jones family came to the Wilkes-Barre area in 1904. As you probably know, Williams is a very popular name in Wales along with Jones, Evans etc.. Here in the coal country of Northeast Pa too. A Welsh cousin told me that about 90 percent of the Welsh population share about a dozen surnames. It's not impossible that you Ann Williams is related . Very difficult to find out.
Thank you for writing and thank you for you comments on the family pictures.

RE: Hello
Please ignore the previous message - I just realized that you were talking about Cecilia Wilson. I see that I left a token on her memorial page back on Nov. 8, 2008.

I don't specifically remember leaving that token, but I'm pretty sure that it was because I was browsing Woodland Cemetery (a good many of my relatives on my father's side are buried there) and thought it would be nice to take a peek at some of the other interments - especially the ones where someone cared enough to upload a photograph or two. Probably your greatgrandmother's photo took my fancy because she has such a kind face!

Sorry if this is a bit of a letdown. Sadly, I'm not related to Cecilia as far as I'm aware.

RE: Hello
Hi Diane,

You said, "I found you on my greatgrandmother's site and I'm wondering why. Are you related to her? Please let me know. Thank you very much."

Can you tell me your greatgrandmother's name, please? I've left a good many flowers/tokens on other people's sites over time, so I have no way of knowing which lady you're talking about. If it turns out that it's someone in my family too, I'll be happy to let you know.
