Incorrect Mother Listed for James T Weeden
Mr. Jackson,

The Memorial for James T Weeden (Find A Grave #42296563) has his mother listed as Elizabeth White. James T Weeden's mother was Rachel Norris. They lived in Marshall Co., MS until 1870-1871. His Mother, Rachel died about 1871 in Texas. About 1874 James' Father, John Thomas Weeden, married Elizabeth Jane White. James was about 14 yrs old at that time.

I will be adding the Find A Grave Memorial number for Rachel Catherine Norris.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at:

Elizabeth Williams Odom
Amanda Walling Williams
I am the great-great granddaughter of Amanda Walling Williams. I know she is buried at the Williams Cemetery in Kosse, Texas. I believe my great grandmother, Leticia Josephine Williams Williams is also buried there, but I'm not sure. I am an author and am doing some research for a book I'm working on that is very loosely based on some of my family members.

I would very much like to know about Leticia's grave and also about any of her and William Henry Williams children. My grandfather William Canadus Williams died when I was only 18, but I remember several stories he told me about the Williams clan. He was buried in Palacios, Texas in 1967.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I have pictures of both the church and cemetery, which I can post. I walked around the cemetery, and found very old graves, so they are probably buried here. Let me know if this is next to what you're wanting

RE: Box Family
Thanks for adding to the memorial!
Eleanor never heard a story of Indian gold but let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story?
She said two of her uncles built tanks for a living, so that part seems perfect.
The cotton gin was a real money maker apparently and maybe the real source of the "Indian gold"?

Thanks again and maybe we'll have more about the Box family. We see many Box folks in that cemetery.
Keep up the good work. It is people like you who have helped me find even close relatives' place of burial.

Head Cemetery
Thought you would like to know there has been some re-interment of the Head Cemetery remains in Ebenezer Cemetery. I was told by the Kosse Mining Plant today, the Head Cemetery is no more. Some remains and head stones are still in storage. Chip
