Hi Ron,

I'll have to go through Find A Grave admins to get it done. I'll put it on my todo list.

Petoskey History 1852-2002
Robert Kossuth Marshall (d, 1997)
"How ARE YOU, Mr. Stewart?” This is what Mr. Marshall would have said to you (and perhaps did). He would be most grateful to you for the edits you suggested. I had intended to get back and correct the middle name and date of death, but I had misplaced his obituary and put it off. (I will soon post what was written about him at the time of his death. Thank goodness I found it attached to a story I wrote about this fine gentleman and scholar.) I was particularly pleased to receive his parents name, and to be able to make the link between them. Again, I know Mr. Marshall would be pleased.
Many thanks!

RE: Thanks
Ron;
Thank you very much for your note. It is refreshing to get positive feedback.
It is clear now that the duplicates came about when they merged cemeteries.
I have seen this many times before.
I will ask Findagrave to run their De-Duper on this cemetery.
BTW; I too believe having a memorial or grave documented in the wrong cemetery is much more of a concern than a mere duplicate.
Best Regards;
Ross, NM

Do you have any information you could share on a monument that was erected for Anne Maria "Mary" Marshall? monument for the perpetuation of her memory.

The inscription is in these words :
Anna Maria Marshall,
Second daughter of Col. Thomas Marshall, was born the 29th of September, 1759; intermarried with Humphrey Marshall the 18th of September, 1784, and, dying on the 28th of September, 1824, left two sons, her husband, and many friends, to deplore the loss.

To domestic circles she looked for temporal enjoyments; to a Savior and Heaven for eternal happiness.

Her person perfect; her features comely ; her mind of the highest order of human intellect; her heart the seat of every virtue.

A high sense of her duties in life, and great fidelity in discharging them were the characteristic traits of her to whose memory this column is erected by her husband. September, 1834.

RE: John Corish, Memorial # 523777
Hi Ron,

That would be great! I really appreciate it. It's taken a number of years to flesh-out who John Corish was and to see his headstone today was certainly gratifying.

Thanks for putting this up on Find A Grave.

John Corish, Memorial # 523777
Thanks for maintaining this memorial, Ron. I can't believe that there is a photo for John Corish' grave. He is my grandfather's great-uncle and sadly, he spent 35 years of his life in the National Soldiers Home, as his wife preceded him in death by 30 years.

Thanks!

RE: Stewarts?
Ron, hope you got that other message. I am now typing slow so this is better. it is still acting weird. I strongly believe I have Midland, Maryland mine connection with my dad's mother's family. But have no idea their migration to end up in Indiana. I greatly appreciate your looking at least at their names. It would be nice if something opened up. Keep in touch, geraldine

Ron - It does look rather suspicious; I agree. I have no knowledge of this family, so someone in the past had asked me to add the two spouses. With your input, I will remove Chas T. Carpenter, 1858-1945.
Thanks for the note, Will.

He shares a marker with Ruth. I didn't see his other spouse nearby. There is a Bonetta 1939-1942 next to them. I will add her and gladly transfer her to you. I didn't locate your other Marshall request today.
