RE: Dorothy Van Driest Lansberry

I have added Dorothy's parents, and her twin sister was automatically added then as her sibling.

THANK YOU! I still don't understand your message about "auto-add", but I was able to find them by searching for their names.

Do you have any photos you could post with their memorials?

I went to school with Dorothy's children in Page, AZ. They were "Page Pioneers".

I just saw Connie Lansberry at our All-School Reunion in Page this May. Beautiful BLONDE!

Sorry I didn't do the flags this time out, dodging waves of hurricane like rains and wind, so I was really moving fast to get as many done as I could this morning, Semper Fi and my regards to your brother.

Sandra....thank you for your kind response. I totally agree with you regarding the Ancestry records. My connection with Timothy is through the Willoughby family. Another BIG help is Find A Grave. I was so delighted when Ancestry teamed up with them. Have a great Sunday.

Let me know which photo or photos you would like removed. If it is a photograph that I posted, only I can delete them from the memorial page.

RE: MSN problem!
Hi, Sandra. Thank you very, very much for writing back. Sorry for the inconvenience with MSN! I never even thought that I might have a message with Find A Grave since it is so new to me. Anyway, it's late tonight and I'm babysitting my handicapped nineteen-month old granddaughter. I will send some genealogy information as soon as I can this weekend, and I am greatly pleased with your willingness to help.
I came to Cambridge in 1968 as a student teacher and have been here ever since. I know a lot of Cambridge, Stanchfield, Grandy and Braham people but unfortunately never knew your parents.
Our church has a copy of Junette's book Britta Kajsa. It is wonderful. Have you read it?
Thanks again,

RE: Lt. Jonathan Calkins
Hi Sandra,

Calkins nose? Hmmm, I must take a better look. Actually, I just checked to look at that photo and it's not the one I thought. Yes, that is an older portrait and may well be accurate and contemporary. I got that from someone on

There is another portrait of him I found that looks much more imagined after the fact. If I trip over it again, I will send that to you.

RE: Lt. Jonathan Calkins
Hi "cousin" Sandra,

Honestly, I've no idea where I found that portrait of Jonathan Calkins. Somewhere on the web. It was clearly identified as him, but I assume it was someone's imagination of how he looked. Unless they worked from a sketch of some sort, which is possible. Costume looks more or less accurate for the era.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

RE: Wamsleys at Mount Hope Cem....
It was my pleasure to help. Winter likes to play games with us this time of year. Blizzard one day, 50 degrees the next. Yesterday was a perfect day to walk through the cemetery. I photographed about a dozen graves.
Best regards,

Hi Sandra. I should have mentioned that I'll be going to Lander later on today and I will definitely look for Lee´s grave and get a photo of Earl's.

I'm sorry. The cemetery only has one Wamsley listed. That is Earl. If you get any further information, I'd be happy to pursue this for you.
Best regards,

RE: Aramina Dalrymple
No - I got the file you sent on John and Jemimah with no problem. I also added you to my address book so there is no reason your E-Mail should not have come straight to me. But I just checked and there is nothing there. I even checked my junk mail - just by chance. Try my yahoo address: I never use it - I will go to it right now and make sure it is empty. I will be sure to check both accounts regularly until I get it. Then I will let you know it is here. Thanks so much
