I am going back out tomorrow morning if it isn't raining. There are several cemeteries in the area and they have no signs.

Maybe I will find it this time.

James Thomas photo request
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so.
Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request? The number is 214 371 1336

or to email them, the link is:
They are good about responding to the email request!

There are over 154 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help. : )

Thanks for the transfer, I think I have those letters on my page on I finally came to the conclusion. In my family nobody wants any of the information that I have on my family so I joined and so far have put 5000 names up there, I have 15,000 to go. At least anyone wanting the information after I'm gone is welcome to it. Somewhere I researched the 66th regiment and pulled names from Washington County, just some I can think of off the cuff is Mcknight, charles E. Tatlock and Rdo, there is a lot more.

I was going to look into your inquiry today, but the Find A Grave memorial number doesn't appear to be correct. I did look at the other memorial you asked me to look at as well. If you could send me the correct memorial number, I would really appreciate it. ~ Sharron

RE: Mary Frances Drummond/Steel
My mom passed away early this morning, so I may not get to this right away. There are some great genealogy groups on Facebook. I host the Westmoreland county groups and some others. There are some wonderful people in the groups who are very helpful as well. ~ Sharron

Is there a particular memorial you are referring to? It would help to have additional information.

RE: Leven Bramble
St. Rose Cemetery only has a record of Leven's son being buried there; I've been there 3 times and I could never find any of them; I have also searched in other cemeteries in the Mt. Pleasant area, to no avail. I'll keep looking; I have an interest in finding him, too. His grandson, Leven M. Bramble married my great-aunt, Julia Agnes Holland. In the mid 1970's Saint John's Church in Loogootee got a youth group together to help clean up St. Rose Cemetery. It had been neglected for many years, overgrown with trees and such..I think they did a remarkable job of restoration..There isn't much that can be done about broken or missing stones. Link to cemetery records for St. Rose: or use google and search for St Johns Catholic church, Loogootee, Indiana . it has online cemetery records for St. johns and St Rose.

Hi John, Like you researching the Bennetts. My mother was a direct descendant of Harrison Paradise. I was born in Pocahontas and grew up in that part of the State. I was wondering if there are stones at the Thomas Cemetary marking Harrison and Sarah? I also enjoyed your Bennett info at Thanks
