|Sandra Vallance||My Grandmothe|
Ida is my grandmother on my mother's side of the family. We have been working on her family tree for a couple of years. Mother is going on 92 this year (Dorothy). We will be going to the Borkowski / Elias family reunion this year and hope to update our book. I have some picture's of Ida and will post them when I get time to scan them. Thanks for your help. Sandy

|Toni Turk||Link Error Revisited|
Instead of a link error it appears that the father's birth date is incorrect. I'll follow up. Thanks!

Elizabeth V Holzer Strang 3774460 and Lawrence Holzer 37744344 in the Forest Hill Cemetery are incorrectly linked to Mathew Holzer as their father. Mathew was born after the two listed as his children. If you have a personal interest in this line, please contact me.Thanks

Sorry about the empty message. Double hit the "enter" key by mistake.
I drove across the bridge today and spent two hours with records staff at Cypress Lawn cemetery. They checked their records, including the "day log", which shows every burial and cremation that took place on 11/16 through 11/20/1916. They could not find her in any of the records. I also checked with Sunset View cemetery, AKA Berkeley Crematorium, to see if she was cremated and placed there, since the mausoleum was not built until 1928. She was not and I also verified that she was not placed in one of the other crypts.
The next step is for you to order her death certificate to see what it says for her disposition. We can go from there.

The photos have been posted.
I do not find any records for Melody. However, I believe that she died 6 hours after birth on 11/16/1916 (as an unnamed Eltse). I found the mortuary records which confirms that it was Ralph's daughter and Glennie Davies had N. Gray & Co. handle the arrangements. She also had the remains cremated on 11/18/1916 by Cypress Lawn cremation. Since she is apparently not in the alcove, I will check with Sunset View cemetery to see if she is in Baby Land. If not, Cypress Lawn will have to be contacted, but I can't see Ralph leaving her there. Will let you what I can find.

Ralph took care of everyone and kept them close at hand.
From the top down of the alcove:
Glennie Davies (sister of Oma)
Almona Davies (mother of Glennie & Oma)
There is a separate urn for Mildred Rule Eltse (05/02/05 - 04/26/1951) possibly Ralph's second wife?

Bobbie Hunt was a friend of my husband. If you are related I will transfer his memorial to you. I have a concern of his first name being Robert. Everyone knew him as Bobbie and he shows up on the 1940 Census as Bobby. His obit and the USSS Death Index has Bobbie J. I have yet to find his headstone. Please advice.

Sent message to me to correct DOD from 1957 to 1952 per stone. Changed to 1952 but looks to me as if it is 1957. Any documentation to verify?
