RE: FRANCIS GARNER LINE
I just emailed your cousin saying I am the great-great-great granddaughter of Francis Garner. How are you related to him?

Sorry to be so late in responding.

Was he married to Sallie Fae Sorden of Oregon who was born in 1963 & died in 1985? If so, I just posted her site #133060733, if you want to link.

Actually I am related to the Motes and Frees through the Wootens. They are also my ggggrandparents, so we must be distant cousins!
Would be delighted to hear from you and share info. I live outside of Athens, GA

RE: FARMERS
I'll need a memorial number and names in order to transfer this. What cemetery are they in?

RE: Farmers
I am not a relative. I merely take photos of graves and post them. If this is a relative of yours and you want the memorial, please advise and I will be happy to transfer it.

adding children
who ever holds the children's memorial will have to add parents and that will auto add it to the children.

I'm afraid the only Malaceks I know anything about are the ones buried in Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago (and I only know what's on their stones). Wish I could help!

RE: Orange Blue
Carol,

I added Orange's father as well. The link is there - Orange Sr. is buried in Iowa.

One remaining confusion is that based on the cemetery data Orange Jr. died 9/30/1874 at ten months, meaning he was born approx. Dec. 1873. Yet the memorial for Orange Sr. shows he died Nov. 20, 1872. So one of those dates has to be wrong, since Orange Sr. died significantly more than 9 months before his son was born (and 19th Century medicine offered no other explanations for a deferred birth as we might have today!).

Good luck sorting it out,

Mark

RE: Orange Blue
Carol,

Not sure I understand...Orange is already linked to his mother. On FindAGrave, you can only link from the child to parents, not the other way around. So now if you look at Eliza Jane's memorial, it already shows Orange there as her son since I added her as his mother on the memorial I created for him.

If that's not what you want, let me know.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Carol,

Glad to help in any way, no not related. My Mom was from Clay County KS so I try o do a lot to help document the burials there.

I had already added a memorial for little Orange and linked him to both his Mom and Dad. Not sure what more you'd like, just let me know.

All my best,

Mark

I think you must have misunderstood what I said in my previous message to you. The only person that can link a child to her parents is the person who maintains the memorial. I can't link her because I didn't create her memorial and I don't know where she is buried. I am sorry. The only person I can link is parents to each other. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. -- Libby

Hi Carol,

I will gladly link Mahala to her father & mother but The only person that can link parents to children is the one who maintains the childs Find A Grave memorial and I didn't create or maintain Mahala's memorial. All I can do is put the info you sent in William's Bio.

Thanks,
Libby

Thanks very much Carol, I appreciate it - but it's the living ones that I'm stuck on, on one branch the parents died young and the kids went all over the place, so their who I'm looking for now.

Thank you though, and I hope that you have some luck with the library, I know that they are good, just a little slow in responding sometimes.

Hi Carol,

I can understand your frustration - I have 2 branches that I've been looking searching for and haven't been able to find them for years.

I don't have any knowledge of the family myself, but my only suggestion is to look up and contact the Field Library in Peekskill, NY, they have an obit service where they will look up the obituary and send it to you for $3 per obituary.

If you get them, you might get some clues or at least maybe figure out if there is a relation.

Good luck!

Rich

Hi Carol,
I'm sorry to say that I don't have their picture. When I worked on the Assumption, I wrote down all the names and took pictures of all, but sometime later when I went to do the uploading, I found that a small portion of the pictures had corrupted, so for those I just created the names with no picture.

You should do a photo request for them. I probably won't go that way again until the summer, so if no fills the request I could probably get them then. If it helps, they are in Section A. On one side of them is a Travis headstone and on the other side is Lyons-Lindenau - that might help whoever is looking.

As for the obituaries, yes the Field Library has a very good collection of all Peekskill papers from 1861-today. Here's a link to the obituary section http://216.187.8.189/ObitSearch.asp -even if the obituary isn't searchable yet, they will look it up for you for a $3 dollar charge and mail it to you. They are very good, but a little slow in responding at times.

I hope this helps! Rich

I help out in the Lounge Flowering Project where we try to make sure that flowers/tokens are left when a Creator/Contributor has passed.
Can I suggest that if you have any research queries that you post them in the lounge, the other members will do some look-ups for you.

Regards

Dympna

I haven't seen a picture of Levi's wife and she was my great grandmother's sister. But, especially when they die young, the pictures are hard to find or nonexistent. I do have a picture (if it is labeled correctly) of Levi's daughter and grand daughter. Not many of her pictures are labeled, which is very frustrating.
Sorry I'm of no help right now.

RE: WELLS MILEY
At this time, I'm not aware of anyone personally who might have photos. There may be an obit somewhere. I will keep my eyes open and search again for any possible information or photos.
Sometimes things suddenly appear on ancestry. Someone new starts a tree and things just pop up everywhere. Since G-Uncle Levi is a person that interests me, I will keep looking myself.
