Brad, Sorry I did not reply earlier. I only check my memorials or messages at FIND A GRAVE once in a blue moon. No, I am not a descendant of Atwood, but am heavily involved in research on the Civil War veterans buried in Australia and New Zealand. We have about 250 to 300 confirmed and verified veterans buried here, and about 150 Civil War veterans buried in America or elsewhere, who were born in Australia or New Zealand.
What is your own interest in the Atwood family of Pennsylvania?

|Terry Foenander||Morris Atwood memorial.|
Brad, you may be interested to know that Morris Atwood was the son of Holmes Atwood and his wife, Anne, and was one of five brothers, all of whom served in the Army, in various units, during the Civil War. One of the brothers, Richard, was killed in action at Resaca, Georgia, in 1864. Another brother, Hosea, died in Iowa, and there is a memorial page for him, also at FIND A GRAVE. A third brother, Oliver H. Atwood, served in the Mexican War, as well as in the 155th New YOrk during the Civil War, under the name, James Riley, and is buried in the town of Beechworth, state of Victoria, Australia.
I can provide a bit more information on the family if you are interested.

Hi, the information I have said she was 40 at time of death. That would be 1859. I will leave the DOB blank for now.
Martha, wife of Rev. C. B. Atwood, 1899, ae. 40.

OMG, I've wondered where you were and how your research has been going. I can't recall offhand how many ancestors you have in common with my hubby.
Nice to "see" you again!

Oops, sorry bout that.
I cannot change the name of an existing cemetery. If its on there Find A Grave has to change it. You are more than welcome to contact them and see if they will change it.
I didnt understand why you wanted to delete one cemetery since the people are all different. Am I missing something?

Thank you for the correction...I will update that now. I have a public tree on ancestry as well if you are on there. How are you related to the Atwood family? Any info that you need help on or if you find a correction, please let me know. More than happy to share information! (And get it right.)

|Chelmsford Mark ||RE: Gilbert Parker in Fairview|
Thanks, Brad. Are you a Parker descendant also, perhaps indirectly (guessing from the surnames listed on your website), or are you just interested in Westford history?
If I believe what I find in ancestry.com, I also descend from Alice Atwood(?) and husband William Mullins via daughter Priscilla (the only member of the family to survive the winter of 1620-21), down through Harriet Gates and her son Willard Gilbert Parker.
Some appear to dispute that Alice was an Atwood?
Do you have evidence that she is?

|KATHY||RE: Private Hubert Bolyea|
Good afternoon Mr. Potts. I received your message. I appreciate your kind words. I thoroughly enjoy helping fellow Find A Grave members in making memorials as detailed as possible, whether it's something as small as a date, or as extensive as a bio/obituary. I appreciate it also when fellow members assist me in detailing my memorials as well. Yes sir, I will continue to send you information as time permits, if that's ok with you. Private Bolyea served in the same World War II combat outfit as my beloved late father, and I am doing what I can to honor these fine gentlemen. Thank you again sir for your time, and I hope we can keep the lines of communication open!

|Pat Shaw||your email|
Hi, I tried to send you an email from a memorial on Find A Grave and had to returned to saying it was blocked and put in your spam folder? And so...now what, will you make Find A Grave available for an email address that changes and corrections will work with? or was it just a weird thing?
Your email has been intercepted by Earthlink's SPAMBLOCKER and placed in a 'Suspect Mail' Folder.
The owner reviews this folder daily. If you and/or your subject matter can be identified, you will be added to the 'acceptable' sender list. If not........

You are welcome and I understand. The reason I found them is I was looking at my own memorials and found two of my own I needed to delete because I had duplicated other memorials (not sure why I didn't see the originals at the time).

|Boyd-Correll||Ellen Beers Atwood Boyd|
Ellen Beers Atwood married James Clark Boyd and that is were the story begins. I ran across this story a few months back and am still trying to sort out the facts.
According to The Boyd's of Crawford County book, Clark and Ellen had a daughter named Mamie Boyd (Born about 1875) who married Henry Lee Draper. I have found no other information about Mamie.
Clark and Vinnie (Atwood) had at least two boys according to the article about Vinnie's death. See Oscar C Boyd for their first child.
Vinnie is the daughter of Thomas J and Ellen Atwood, the same Ellen that married Clark Boyd.
Click on the Crawford album for stories about Clark, Ellen, and Vinnie.

|Patrick||RE: Maiden Name|
I think they should be listed as simply First Name Last Name. To me "maiden name" implies a previous name you had before you got married and you were using a different married name at time of death. But if you were never married, then it isn't your previous name but your current (and perhaps only) name.
Unless there is a record somewhere that indicates they might have had a different last name I would just go with what the headstone says and list them as stated with that as their last name rather than their maiden name.
