Cemetery Question
Kris, Thanks for what you have done. I am related to a Putnam, but not Charles. My relative is Edwin G. Putnam who is buried in the Green Cemetery as is his father Newton Putnam.
My question is: Do you know where the Maple Grove Cemetery is located...seemingly near Green? Is it, per chance, the cemetery at Lasita?
Thanks. Jim Bradley

I found information on your family in my Carselowey cemetery guide book. If you want email me its on my profile that way I will have your email. I can take a snap shot of info with my phone and email it to you so you will have it. I didn't want to post on public message board.

Family ?
Thank you for the transfer. I only live about 10 minutes from that cemetery and I also have a recent information book on all the people within that cemetery. What are your family members names? I would be glad to try and help. There is a couple of other cemeteries within a couple of miles from there and I could check those as well.

RE: Carselowey Cemetary
At least I do not recongnize the names. Will have to check with family to make sure. I know we never decorated any other Smiths you sent me. Duncan and Watkins that you sent we do decorate for. The Smith one I will have to locate it so we can start decorating it also.
First names I am looking for are as follows: are Urahlee, Lee, Mollie, Jane, David, John, Pauline, Lila, Eileen.

RE: Carselowey Cemetary
Would they be in the carselowey cemetary or in the vinita cemetary?
Thanks for the transfers but only 2 of the ones you sent are correct for my family. Gary Smith and Gerald Duncan are mine. The rest you sent are not.

RE: Sheldon Hugunin
No worries. Please feel free to keep them. Now that I look, I see what you mean; Winters's wife, Ethel, was a Bushnell. Their daughter, Bernice, was married to my first cousin once removed.

I think I must have ran across Sheldon in the 1920 census, since he only lived from 1918 to 1922. I didn't used to document where I found information, and now I'm kind of kicking myself.

The 1940 census also lists a Velma born in about 1925. According to Celia Rundquist's obituary, Velma married a Wilder and was still living in Clay Center as of 9/26/11.

The same obit also says she (Celia) was preceded in death by a Betty Reiman. I must have found her in the 1930 census, because she isn't listed in the 1940 census, and I have her birth at around 1923. Bernice's obituary lists Betty as living in Olmsted Falls, OH.

I know the former Lesa Hugunin, a descendant of Graydon Hugunin, and I have been going to ask her if she knows any of their family history, but I haven't run into her for a couple years. She was raised on what I suspect to be the original Hugunin farm. I heard the house, which was vacant, burned down a couple years ago after some renters moved out.

By the way, I see Lesa's mom and dad are listed as being buried in the Pleasant Hill Swedish Cemetery in Clay County. I'm not so sure that's correct. I suspect they may actually be buried in a different Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Riley County, which is not far from where they lived. I will try to stop by there sometime when I'm in the area.

RE: Sheldon Hugunin
I did some research on the family a couple years ago, and I found Sheldon and one or two others in a census. I had a cousin who married one of Winters' daughters. I don't know if that makes me related or not, but I would be happy to maintain their memorials if you would like.

I believe that you have placed the wrong headstone on Glenn Wood Coffman (62759). He had a son by the same name. Please remove this headstone.

Thank you,

Hi Kris,

I'm so glad to hear that you have a better photo of your mom for her memorial, I'm more than happy to remove the one that is there.

RE: Transfer request
Hi Kris,

Transferred your parents, surprised you didn't request them from Lisa before now. She transferred them to me to add obituaries, burial plots, interment date, etc. Happy they will be honored through family now.

Happy Weekend!
Annie :)
