Hi Sharon, I found a marker for Orville Pershins within the cemetery. I've unfortunately lost the grave marker photos a took when my computer crashed a while back, but I know there are findagravers actively reading the cemetery and adding photos daily. Perhaps you could place a photo request, if you have not already done so. Take care.

|John Mairs||RE: Infant Gerkey baby|
I am going to try to get a few rubbings from some of the stones that have a faint trace of script still left. If I find anything with the Gerkey Family name on it, I will let you know.
You wouldn't happen to know what part of the cemetery the child is buried in, would you?
Also, there is a Brethren Church just up the road from the cemetery. They might have good enough records to get us close to the right spot.
Overall, the cemetery is in remarkably good shape, at least compared to other cemeteries of that age that I have seen. Still, there are several family plots where all of the stones have been worn completely blank from time.
If you are able to get any more information about Infant Gerkey, I will be happy to continue the search.

|Rudolf Hausdorf||find a grave request results|
I went to the Oreana, Idaho Pioneer Cemetary but I was unable to find any marker of any sort for Amanda Wallace Cook. There were quite a number of graves marked "unknown". Since she died in 1923 it is possible that her grave is one of the "unknown's".
I am sorry that I was unable to help you.

I'm trying to verify information on Memorial # 60806676. Everything I've found so far is for John B Strickling you have find a grave has John B Strickland. May I ask how do you know this is correct. I see even the photo says Strickling. If this is wrong can it be changed?

I tried to find Rachel Butcher today at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills but was not able to find a #3304. The lowest 3300 number I could find at 3352 then 3299 - could not find anything between those two numbers.

Apparently there is a miscommunication. According to the City Clerk of Delta, there is no headstone for Ida, and no record of a spouse or infant son buried next to her.
I apologize if I wasn't clear in my message to you.

I uploaded a photograph of George's grave today. I did not find a marker. If you click on the photo, in the caption I listed the nearest stones with links to their memorials in case it helps you find it if you should visit sometime.

I must tell you. The records are mixed for South Pleasant View, Pleasant View, and Mount Olivet in Kewanee Illinois. I just went by what I could find in the records stating his burial location. All three cemeteries border each other. Someone with direct knowledge of the family that lives in the area maybe be able to help find other records. I suggest you call the Kewanee, Illinois library and ask if they can check the records again. Include South Pleasant View Cemetery in the search, both (SPV & PV) have a plot numbered 1671. My notes indicate I only checked Pleasant View and stopped when I found him recorded, but records are sometimes wrong. Good Luck.

|Aaron Gleim||RE: Bloomfield headstone|
you are quite welcome , I was there at the Cemetery to take photos of my Great Grandfather's grave : ANDREW JACKSON SWEENEY , so before I left , I wrote down any photo requests . I usually do that , since I was going to be there ...
The Stone looks like it was worn , so I would guess that since it was worn , someone had re- wrote the info on the stone ..
Happy to fulfill you request. I live just west of Portsmouth , Ohio ( across the Ohio River from Lewis Co. ky. ) I think the Cemetery was about 13 / 15 miles away , not far....
Scioto county , Ohio

One of the things I love about genealogy is that there are always puzzles, it never seems to be as straight forward as I think it will be. I thought it strange the way the stone was done, and yet the cemetery records say VanZile, and he is on the VanZile plot. Definitely strange. Glad to be able to help, Linda

|Richard Holmes||Jerry Grubaugh tombstone photo|
I didn't take the photo. I found a listing of Union Home Cemetery photos on the internet at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/tsphoto/clinton/unionhome.htm I tried adding contrast, but it didn't help much. The top line is certainly Jerry and the month of birth is Feb and the month of death is Mar. The attached death certificate gives the death date as 12 Mar 1904 and a life span of 57 years, 22 days - giving a birth date of 18 Feb 1847. I actually have 19 Feb 1847 in my files and I think I can read that date into the middle line, although the year is the fuzziest. Sorry about the quality.
