 | Remsen Kite Hi Daniel, Thank you for the picture you took for my request for Katherine Remsen Kite, but I believe you mistakenly attached it to her son Earle L Kite. If you could please delete the picture from Katherines record and transfer it to Earles it would be appreciated. Thank youAdded by L Beacon on Mar 05, 2009 2:57 AM | |

 | Sproat Family Plot Daniel ~ I can't thank you enough for taking to the time to photograph the Sproat Family Plot. I was wondering if you could read the inscription on the large front flat stone? Also, I noticed that you didn't have a tombstone for the Rev. James Sproat 1722-1793 (Sarah's husband). Did you see any reference to him interred there? He was originally at Second Presbyterian Burial Yard (Arch St) and then relocated. Some records say Laurel Hill and others say Christ Church. I was wondering if you could verify this for me. Thank you so much! There was also a James (son of Major William Sproat 1793-1821) again was first at Second Pres. and then re-interred to Laurel Hill. Did you see his name there? Thanks so much Daniel!Added by KES on Jan 12, 2009 11:16 AM | |

 | Newmanstown Memorial cemetery Daniel,
If you get a chance, can you see if there is a grave for Mary R Woolwine. She is supposed to be there. Also, are there any other Woolwines-maybe a husband and a child?
Thank you so much.

 | Bonneau Graves Daniel, Thanks so much for your efforts in locating and making photos of the Bonneau graves in Laurel Hill Cemetery. I live in Texas, and it has not been possible for me to get to Philadelphia to locate these graves. It is disappointing to learn that they are unmarked, but it is good to know this. | Rev Joel Benedict My original request for Laurel Hill was based on this information: The Genealogy of the Benedicts in America By Henry Marvin Benedict, Elwyn Ellsworth Benedict
Birth: Sep. 6, 1772 Middletown Middlesex County Connecticut, USA Death: Oct. 31, 1833 Philadelphia County Pennsylvania, USA Minister. Lawyer. He began life as a lawyer in Connecticut, but later chose religious life. A Presbyterian, he was engaged in the revival movement. He was Secretary of the Pennsylvania Tract Society. Benedict married Currence Wheeler on January 1, 1795. Burial: Laurel Hill Cemetery Philadelphia Philadelphia County Pennsylvania, USA Created by: rjschatz Record added: Jan 20 2006
I don't know why there are also headstones for Joel and Currence in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn Kings NY. The cemetery records showing him 61 in 1855 would place his birth in 1794 which wouldn't be correct either. Thank you for taking the pictures. Would you go ahead and post the pictures for me? I need to set up the memoral again however which I will do right away. Thank you again, AnitaAdded by as on Nov 03, 2008 5:29 PM | |
