Please contact PL to have him removed. I didnt add him so I cannot. I did miss PL already had Uncle Sam (Edward Lee Trinkle Newton) a memorial so I will have to send corrections to him and remove mine. Grandaddy Newton was only recently transfered to me and I havent had a chance to fully "clean up" links.
I appreciate your bringing this to my attention as I am trying to get my family properly linked on findagrave.

This memorial was created by the person who maintains the cemetery records. It indicates unmarked which means there is no marker. In those days many were marked with field stones and even something of wood. Over time they disappear. So, a photo request will not produce a marker of some kind. I know this person on a personal level and I normally go to her in finding markers. She will tell you the same. I would withdraw it.

Roy, I live in Culpeper and until I became a member of Find A Grave I had never been to the National Cemetery here. It is so well cared for and truly a beautiful place. I'm happy to have been of help. Martha

I was only too happy to help for Matilda was related to my husband's family through her husband Mason. Matilda & Mason's sons, Theadore & William, married Ida Almond. Ida was the daughter of Zachariah Almond & Catherine Enfield, who was my husband's mothers grandparents. My husband's mother was Essa May Almond, daughter of John & Burzetta Larkins Almond. John and Ida Almond were siblings. I was out decorating graves Wednesday and Barnes City was one of the towns I went to for my mother's brother and his family are buried there and in fact Matilda's monument is near where they are buried. Have a beautiful day.

Roy, you are so welcome for the photos. So sorry that Ellen's stone did not come out more readable. If we get back there we will try to take a better photo, but it is a hard one to see even when standing directly in front of it. Judy

Thanks. The county of location has recently changed as it has been reading Spotsylvania County, Virginia for years. Someone apparently has had it changed recently.
I did not create the cemetery on Find A Grave and cannot correct it. I am checking to see if they have a contact to do this correction.

I noticed there were several other Manns without headstone photos so I worked all of the missing ones while I was there this afternoon. Second Branch is near a Scout Camp where I spend a lot of my weekend time as Canmpmaster.

Thank you so much for this wonderful photograph of Sarah's headstone. I really appreciate you taking time to get this for me and my family. I also appreciate your extra efforts in enhancing it for me. I know these older headstones wear down to the point where they're almost unrecognizable... but just seeing the headstone itself is terrific. Thank you again!
