RE: Mount Family
My email is and I would enkoy reading the news article.
I did a little more Mount family research and for Peter in my family tree. Currently I am attempting to conclude the research on my Plank tree before returning to the Mount tree. I will keep you notes and use them to further added to his father James Mounr of Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, NJ.

I found Pierre Chavian and Catherian Dom Chavian buried in the Miller Farm Cemetery. In Crawford County on Find A Grave.
You could also ask the Crawford County Historical Society for help if you need some narrative. Also found a narrative on the web at
This is a little more research I usually do for others. Hope I have helped find the answers to your research.

RE: Mount Family
Martha was christened Magdalene Chavain (and variants) in St Paul's Mission in Bally, Washington Twp., Berks Co., PA. Her name is listed a Madaline Mount on the deed in 1830 when she and Peter sold her share of the family estate in Vernon Twp., Crawford Co., PA. Peter and Martha were living in Muskingum Co., OH at the time. Recorded in Deed Book T-1, page 153 of Crawfoed Co., PA.

Martha was born April 5, 1798 in Bailey, Berks County, Pennsylvania. She died April 21, 1872 in New Lancaster, Tipton County, Indiana. You will find her memorial listed on Find A Grave in the New Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, Tipton County, Indiana.

Peter Mount born in 1781 and died in 1864 is also listed in the same cemetery.

You are in luck, I have spent over five years working on both my wife's Mount family tree and my Plank family tree. My great grandfather, David Heber Plank, was the family doctor in Morgantown, Berks County, Pennsylvania so I am very familiar with history in both the Mounts and Berks County.

Good hunting.

RE: A Favor
OK, Bob....I DID find Wm. & Eliz. Wilson & they are buried in the OTHER NORWICH cemetery....It is called the Norwich Methodist Cemetery. I just checked & they do not have Memorials on there, so you can create ones for them & I will get the photos the next time I am over there. It says Eliz. died in 1886. The cemeteries are not very far apart. The Methodist one is very large & is still used as is the Presb. one.....I have another cem. in the area I am working on finding requests, so I want to get back over there in a day or 2 when the weather warms back up again. It was in the 70's here yest. & beautiful for Easter, but today is cloudy & windy & in the 40's !!!!

RE: John and Mary Catherine Tod Hood
Bob -

As far as I know, there is no published master listing of interments in Union Dale. If you think they might be there (and I think there's a pretty good chance they may be) you can email Union Dale and they will provide the plot locations at no charge. The email address is:
Just provide them with the names and death and/or burial dates, and ask for the plot locations.

Union Dale will also provide additional info for a small fee, but the plot locations are free.

I found a death notice for Mary Catherine also - she died Jan 19, 1886, see:

Harper Family
I updated the Harper Family. I added an obit for Henry L. Harper.
I looked up: Paul Russell Harper, Henry L. Harper and Lida Mae Emerick Harper in the death certificate file. I added complete dates of birth and death dates.
I also found William Conway Murtland and requested his info be updated.
Check out the updates.

RE: Photos
Just let me know if you find more... I don't live too far from Evergreen. Also, I told you I had Flemings from Butler Co? Well, I also have a lot of Todd ancestors in my tree too. As a matter of fact, I took the DNA test at Ancestry and just today I got a lot of DNA hints for the Todd's in my family. Did you happen to take that test and do you have Todd's from New Haven, CT? They were original settlers in that area back in the early to mid 1600's.

RE: Fleming Family
Hi Bob..... not sure I have those Flemings in my tree but that does not mean we are not connected. With all those Flemings from Butler Co and even Harrisville, we certainly could have a connection. I will look further into this and let you know if I find anything. My Flemings are:

John, James, Daniel, William, Joseph, Lillian (my great grandmother whom married Samuel Perry). They are buried in Prairie.

RE: Photographs
I plan on going out again because one of the Moody stones was very filthy and I forgot my scrub brush. I took photos but they are terrible, unless you want me to post them and when I go out and get better ones let you know?? We are suppose to have terrible weather tomorrow but the next few day it should be improving.

I added the note to Augustus' page. Thanks. I haven't worked on my Joslin stuff for awhile and thought I had his parents' information on here already. Augustus was my GG-grandfather -- his youngest daughter Hope was my great-grandmother.

Thanks again,
Hope Rudy
