Catherine Benton
Linda,
I noticed that there is another memorial listed at Pleasant Grove for Katherine Coffee Benton with the same dates as this memorial. It already has a picture in place. The grave stone actually reads Kathern. I think we have a duplicate memorial for her. Also, I have emailed you some pictures of stone that MAY be for Carmel and Lloyd Benton. I wanted to be sure that you felt I was correct before I added them to the memorials. They are pretty much illegible, but I think I am seeing a few letters in the names and dates that are the same. Thank you. Joe

You are welcome Linda. I tried to find all of the Benton's in the cemetery, but I see that I have missed some of your requests. I will make another trip a little later to see if I can find them. In the Benton plot there are several stones similar to what you see for Mattie Verna Benton, but the names have faded off. Hopefully a second inspection will find some more of your requests.

Hello, Linda.

I just traveled from Iowa and visited several cemeteries in Montgomery County, PA.

I am also related to Hoxworths. My fourth great grandparents are John Jenkins and Sarah Hawkesworth (Hoxworth) also buried at Montgomery Baptist Cemetery.

What is your connection? Are we super cousins??? 😃

Marilynn

All the tombstones, we found in Robinson #1 are placed on Find A Grave. The graveyard is in bad condition-it may have had cattle in it years ago. Her gravestone was leaning against a tree inside the remains of an iron fence with a heavy, overturned and mostly sunken double marker for Robert J and Emily Robinson. There was a single slightly sunken grave close to her stone.

You are welcome. I have been trying to photo many of the north Livingston County what I call endangered graveyards. I try to photo ever stone I find. I enjoy doing it.
