Marc Thayer, III
RE: John Wesley Burnett

Hi Kathy,

My great grandfather was John Wesley Burnette. His real last name did not have the "e" at the end of Burnett and for some reason he started placing an "e" at the end of Burnett.

He was born in NC and is not the same person who married Phoebe Wilson.

I came across John and Phoebe Burnett's photo and found John on Find-a-Grave and wanted to make sure it was placed with the correct John Wesley Burnett.

There are several John Wesly Burnett(e)'s so the name was certainly popular.

RE: Raney Photo
My connection to the Raney family is that Lavelda Freer married Rex Vernon Freer, Sr. Lavelda's grandmother Mary Cole (Mrs. William Penn Lum) was the sister of my great grandfather, and they were the children of Emily Finch an Levi Jefferson Cole. I noticed that you have a Finch line and also a Walker line. We could be related. Please tell me more about these lines.

Please feel free to use the picture.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Johnnie Yelvington
Mary Sallie Camper Pyle grave stone
Kathy, I received a message from Find a Grave informing me that you had fulledfilled a request for a photo of a stone for Mary Sallie Camper. Thank you for sending it and I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.
My great-grandmother, Rebecca Caroline Camper was Mary Sallie's sister, daughters of David E. Camper and ? Canterberry. I wonder if you could identify a family picture. I, of course know the lady on one who is my great-grandmother and another woman could even be Mary Sallie
I am requesting this not even knowing if you are related to the family. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Thank you.

No apology is necessary. I was out there filling some other requests anyway. I will delete this one and when you request it again, at least I know where he is. Please, don't worry about it. I'm happy to help.

Happy Holidays

Thanks for the link for his father. I am not any kin. Linda Creamer Furr transferred his memorial to me to maintain for her. I would transfer him to you, but I don't think it can be transferred a second time. If you would like to add any photos or give me additional info to add, please do. I don't mind adding anything for you. Frances

RE: corbin and ollie parham
Thank you for information on a branch of my PARHAM tree that I had little info on.

My great grandparents are Corbin's aunt, Florence PARHAM (daughter of John Raymond PARHAM m. Elizabeth 'Eliza' STEWART) and William Elbert WALKER (son of Elbert Walker and Elizabeth Wynne). After my great grandfather William Elbert WALKER was killed in a lumber accident, my great grandmother Florence PARHAM WALKER returned to Columbia Co., AR to be with her parents.

Ollie BAKER PARHAM's sister Ophelia BAKER married my grandmother Lena Justine WALKER BEARDEN's brother, Alvin Obidia WALKER. Do you know if your WALKERs are part of my WALKER family? I find them first in Columbia Co., Arkansas and then in Angelina Co., Texas.

There are alot of active PARHAM researchers and I have a lot of their work in my database. I would be glad to sent a PARHAM report to Sonia. I can be contacted directly at the e-mail address listed on my FindAGrave listing,

You're very welcome, Kathy. I have relatives buried in Shiloh Cemetery. Was there last week. In pre- and early-interstate days, our family passed thru Texarkana, Magnolia and El Dorado many times enroute to and from north Louisiana.

RE: Earnest James Bollier
Yes, I created and update Mr Bollier's memorial. His third wife was my Great Grand-Aunt Rosie PLUNKETT. His parents' tombstones are also on Find A Grave, John Heinrich "Henry" BOLLIER and Anna Maria Magdalena Elizabeth STADELMAN, who are not buried together. I have several Bollier/Bolyer family connections. Email me if you'd like me to send you a Bollier/Bolyer Family Report....Doug

You are very welcome.
You would have to press the edit button to send VA an email. If you don't get a response, email and ask them how to go about a transfer. Normally by Find A Grave rules, transfers are only your siblings, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. Good luck.

RE: Anna Marie Bollier
Anna is the mother of Julie Bollier who married one of my relatives, so I think that she is also one of my relatives. I will be happy to enter any data that you suggest but I will not transfer her memorial at this time.

Added by EL on Mar 18, 2010 4:43 PM

Kathy, she was the wife of William Stadelman. If this line is related to you, have you seen the Joseph Price Diaries? Joseph was very good friends with the Stadelman family and there are lots of entries. I found this entry:

November 25, 1789
25th at James Jones's very Large frost Wind S.E. Enoch Came for me, Stadlemans wife Dead very sudden well at brea[k]fast Dyed before Night. Came home

November 26, 1789
26th very Wet night & all Day from S.E. Drove through Stone wall makein[g] Coffin got it [finished] about 8 OClock at night & took it home, head 81/2 I, Shoulder 191/2 I foot 71/2 I. this was athanksgiving Day proclamd by the President of the Unighted States George

November 27, 1789 (was her burial)
27th Wind North & Cloudy went to Burial at Church Cloudy Sun Shun a little, Snowd a little in Evening went to Rees Price's Got my horse Shod new shues

Joseph Price, among many other things, was a coffin maker... so you see, he made her coffin. (Also typed as written in the diary. Joseph Price (1752-1828), was the fourth generation of that Quaker family to live in Lower Merion. He was one of the Township's important citizens ... a Renaissance man. A plaque outside of the house he built in 1803 on Montgomery Avenue (near Meetinghouse Lane) attests: "Quaker Farmer, Innkeeper, Undertaker, Militiaman, Diarist, Saw Mill Operator, Milestone Installer, Carpenter, Turnpike Supervisor, Patriot, Concerned Citizen."

Hope this help... if you need anymore help, just let me know and I can see what I can find. Do you by any chance have HORN/HORNE families in your line? I am researching them and there is reference to the Stadelman line, that is why I am asking.
