Stanley Levin gives a grayed out duplicate name in the list of siblings for all the memorial pages that list sibs. There is nothing I can do about it. You should ask a support person at about this policy.

I see how I ended up with a duplicate, given that this name is pretty much unsearchable -- due to the punctuation. May I suggest that the most common name used be entered and (per admin directive) no additional punctuation be used that is not either on the marker or the legal name?

Thank you for your updates - I'd appreciate it though if you would enter the info into the drop downs? I'm sure I have many entries that will need "work..."

Shomrei Habrith cemetery
I added photos to any Luria family members that didn't already have pictures. I also added Max Luria and Edith Luria (Hirsch's wife). I transferred these to you. I also added Alex Schoenfeldt and transferred this to you. I linked to his wife Mary.

The monument I was referring to is actually in the Shomrei Habrith cemetery. The Kesher Zion cemetery is right next to the Shomrei Habrith cemetery.

RE: Luria
Regarding Lurias...

There is a large monument for LURIA at the Kesher Zion cemetery. I took pictures of it and posted them under MAX LURIA (which I just added). Max's gravestone is partially obscured by bushes, and his was the only stone visible. The others MAY be covered by the bushes....impossible to tell. I didn't see other Luria's but I will look again when I look for Alexander Schoenfeldt.

RE: Julius Harlam
I might have someone that can answer this. I have a friend who has been extensively researching his wifes family who is connected to Harlam. I will email him what you asked.

RE: Julius Harlam
No Problem. I am involved with the restoration effort at Bayside. I am in contact with other people connected with Julius Harlam. If I remember correctly, there is also another Harlam elsewhere in Bayside.
Also, you may not know this but Mr Harlam was a prominent Freemason and the master of a lodge in NYC. The lodge, Shakespere 750, still exists today. There are several other masters of that lodge at Bayside

RE: grossinger
haha that's funny. the only grossingers that either myself or my mom took were in ny.

Added by NoreenP on Aug 31, 2013 11:58 PM

I forgot to mention that there are 3 grossingers that are buried together at mount Ararat. seelig, harry and Freda. all of their pictures I posted back in September. I don't remember if there was a large family stone or not.

RE: grossinger, harry ??
hi Barbara,
there are a few ways you can find him. go to begin new search and put in his name along w/ mount Ararat cemetery and ny and his name should appear that way. if not then go to cemetery look up and plug in mount Ararat. from there put in harry's first and last name. if neither of those work then you can find him by going to my volunteer photo's taken and scroll to the second page and then scroll down and click on his last name. the third one might just be easiest for you. when you get to him you can add him to your virtual cemetery. I hope this works for you. talk to you soon.

I have added Catherine and Carter's photos. I also have one for Merrill Bud Schor, but there is no memorial. Are you family? If you create a memorial for him I'd be happy to add his photo. 12/31/1929 to 4/30/2011.

Re: the Kaufmann s
I have a few other photos the daughter may want or post of the plot stone and seat, I would be glad to forward them to an email address, then she could decide if she wants to post. (along with marked cemetery map.)

P.S. sorry for the delay. my son needed a front door installed, when he is 62 he will understand the pound of pain that was involved. :-)

RE: kaufmann graves
Nope it was Kaufmann, I will try calling before I go, you always get that feeling you bothered them when you leave the office. :-) Hopefully short of looking at every headstone I will find it.
