RE: Ruel Speer
Ruel is in grave space #1 of that lot but we show that he does not have a marker.

about Jackie and Speer family
I am a descendant of Henry Speer and a cousin of Jackie. I am sorry to report that Jackie passed away. Her obit is still posted online - just search for Jackie Moore obit Michigan and it should be right at the top. I am interested in your line. You must be descended from Ruel Speer. I am descended from Thomas his brother. I have images of all of Henry's children except Ruel. I am in the process of posting them on this website under their respective pages. - Abigail, James, Thomas and Ida. If you would like to get in touch let me know. I have a lot of info on the Speer and Dubois families, although not much on the Wheaton and Stevens lines- that was Jackie's specialty. Adam Sweet

RE: Question
Your family might know what spaces are there for members of your family as well as the cemetery office or funeral home/crematory that handled the legalities of Rosemary's passing.

Hopefully, Wheaton handled things like that and bought spaces for both him and Rosemary before he passed. If you aren't sure, I'd check heck yeah!

RE: Question
Absolutely!

Keep in mind though that bodies are buried 6 feet underground while cremains are usually buried 3 feet underground (at least that was the way it was with my mother-in-law) so it might be noticeable from the road but it would have to be something I would have to drive into the cemetery to see.

West Michigan is still very much cold and winter-like but internments go on. Maybe they won't wait to bury her?

Another thing, did her burial arrangements include her stone? They usually take some time to prepare and the cemetery needs to make sure a foundation is laid and attach the stone to it when the time's right.

RE: Question
Internment is the process of burying someone that includes putting not only the vault in the ground but also the casket/ashes/urns. This also includes people who are interred in a Mausoleum.

If you see a new internment you'll see fresh dirt on top of a grave.

That's what it means :)

About Rosemary
Hihi Kelly!

I saw your request for Rosemary and as far as I can tell there have been some internments because of broken ground but in terms of waiting for your request, maybe just for now, take it down and if you happen to find out when the cemetery or local family have interred her ashes, put up the request again just so it doesn't have to sit.

Nothing beside Wheaton has been done yet and the rest of the ground is still snow covered.

RE: Info for all saints cemetery
I feel bad that I wasn't able to help you more. I did notice that the person who entered these "internments" was Chris Yoder and he's on your friends list.

Maybe he can help??

RE: Info for all saints cemetery
Yes I did see that. The only thing is that there are no cremains there buried anywhere. I guess their ashes are spread over the memorial garden area and left at that. They then sign the memorial book inside. There might be cremains inside the church but as for outside there is only a garden.

I know it makes no sense but it's the answers I got from the Township! I was at the address today and saw the church itself. I wish I could do more!

Honestly what I don't understand is the last part:
"The original plan provides spaces for 120 burials.

It just makes no sense. There are no burials outside!
