Hinchman
Hi. I'm researching a Thomas Hinchman & Phoebe Martin that were in Lancaster, Wells, Indiana in the 1850-1870's. their daughter Sarah Hinchman Harris' death cert names them as such. Odd that you also have a Thomas Hinchman with wife Phoebe McClain. Wonder if they're the same.

Roy & Erma Kitchen
Hi Mike, I have taken pictures of the headstones for Roy and Erma Kitchen. They are buried in the South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, OH, and not in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. If you would like to edit just the cemetery, everything else should transfer over. I will be adding the pictures in a few days. I have Kitchens in my family tree. They are married-in and not direct-line. Thanks, Gayle :-)

David Wallace
Hi Mike,

I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you know much about a David Wallace in NH. I got some photos and today I created a memorial for David - see # 105751028. He's in Southern NH - any relation?

Thanks!

Rick Weaver

PS: I have other Wallace photos from other local cemeteries - will post soon.

RE: Terri Lee Martinez
Hi Mike,
No you didn't bother me at all. I get messages like that where people think because I created the memorial page that I must, somehow, know the family. I live about 2 hours away from that area. When I took that photo, I was in the area doing my own genealogy research. I can't just go to a cemetery and photograph a couple of headstones. It feels more productive, especially when traveling a fair distance, to take a lot of photographs. Anyway, you weren't a bother and thanks for asking.
Sincerely,
Vicki

Hello,
I'm sorry, I wish I could help you but I have no idea who these people are other than she was someone buried in the cemetery where I was doing some headstone photographing. In other words, I don't know them personally. I hope you find a way to get in touch with her mother.
Sincerely,
Vicki A.K.A. Vicalina

Hi Mike,
I have added the info to the memorials. I photographed the entire cemetery, and am putting the stones on a bit at a time. There seem to be lots of Livingston Co. pioneers buried there, so perhaps there are more of your ancestors. All in all I took about 550 pics.

Gage marriage date corrected
Mike - I found the microfilm copy of Electa's obituary and found that I had mis-transcribed the marriage date as 1837 instead of the 1827 it should be. The microfilm image wasn't the best but upon a second look you are quite correct that the date should be 1827. I've corrected her memorial and posted a scanned image of the obituary to the memoral as well. I'll be sending you a copy via email separately. Thanks for letting me know of the transcription error.

Electa Wallace Gage marriage date
Mike -
Thanks for your message about Electa - in looking at the memorial it looks like our local family group sheet information had the marriage date as May 30, 1827 and I noted that at the beginning of her memorial text; I don't know at the moment if the obituary was transcribed 'as is' with the May 20th, 1837 marriage date, or if it got transcribed wrong and I didn't catch the discrepancy. Usually when I catch a discrepancy like that in an obituary I'll put in a "sic." comment, but I didn't do that in this case. We should have her obituary on the microfilm records of the Fairfield Ledger at the Fairfield Library, so I'll look on Monday and check to see if the transcription was accurate. If possible, I'll try to capture an image of the obituary and post to the memorial. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks for catching the discrpancy. I suspect that the 1827 date is correct for the reason you pointed out, the obituary stated date of 1837 notwithstanding (assuming that was the date used in the obituary).

The Gage family was literally one of the first dozen families to come to this area in the late 1830's; it has been interesting to read of their pioneer days. Their family monument is at the extreme SW corner of Old Fairfield Cemetery so I see it every time I drive past on Stone street to get to either Old FF City Cemetery or Evergreen cemetery that is adjacent on the same street. Seeing their monument is a reminder of how much this area has changed in 175 years or so!
