|Mark Dixon||Re: Khalil Hanna|
Thanks Jack, that does help me make sense of the names and relationships. I have added Ramzi's obituary to his memorial, that may help you with some of the names you are looking for. In the next couple of weeks I'll try to get some more information on the other Hannas interred in Lakeview, especially those near Khalil and Ramzi.

|Mark Dixon||Khalil Hanna|
The marker next to Khalil Hanna was for Essa Hanna (1910-1970). Was that maybe a sibling? There were not any markers nearby for anyone who lived 1912-2014. I found her obituary, but you may have noticed even that does not giver her first name, just her maiden name Karoush. Ramzi Hanna's 2006 obituary does however give his parents names as "Khalil and Azizeh Hanna".
It looks like maybe Ramzi's middle name is misspelled on his marker?
Do you know if Khalil's marker would more appropriately have "Hanna Musatlaha" as his last name?
There are other Hanna markers in the area, if you would like for me to transfer any of the memorials I own to you, just let me know.

No, I just deleted mine, as yours was earlier and had the links. The funeral home didn't give an obituary, just the time of the service, yesterday. Thanks for letting me know.

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request.

Salem, George Salem, Sr., Johnny Essa Salem, Nalma Zabak Salem and Zakie Salem.

|Joel Shore||Mary Totah at Mt Hope|
I just looked up Mary Totah and it should not be any trouble finding her grave...and there is supposed to be a surviving marker there (according to this survey http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/mthope-bb-singles-b.htm ) So, we (or somebody else if they beat us to it!) should be able to get you a photograph soon.
As regards other family, unfortunately people buried in single graves are generally not buried with other family and indeed the records indicate that she isn't. So, the best way that I know of to find other Totah's is just to go here http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/mh-intro.htm and search through each section, a fairly painstaking process. That will find graves with surviving legible markers.
If you want to even find burials with no surviving markers, you can look through the cemetery internment records here https://www.lib.rochester.edu/index.cfm?PAGE=3310 , although this is an even more painstaking process!

Thanks for sending the obit and I will get what is allowed from it and post on the memorial....but, as you know, survivors ( children) cannot be added, still living, and I personally dont add funeral details, but I will add what I can.

|TLH||Irene O'Reilly photo request|
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so.
Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request? The number is 214 371 1336
There are over 450 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help!

I see that you had requested a photo for Mrs Glenn at this cemetery and that the person that "claimed" it was brand new to FindAGrave so I was unsure if she meant to claim it or not. Anyways...I don't want to step on toes but I took a photo since I was out there today. I usually am there 3-5 times a week filling requests and just walking. But if you would like you can view the photos and remove the request or wait for her to fulfill it.

If you can call Sparkman Hillcrest (214 363 5401) and get the burial location for Ronald, I will fill your photo request. The office is very particular about volunteers asking for burial locations.
Once you get the location, please let me know it.

|Desert Wind||RE: Wade and Emilie Daw|
Hi Jack -- You are welcome for the photos. As for the birth dates.....
The marker has 1900, which is what I went with. Precedence is given on this website to what is "set in stone" In this case metal. Both the death certificate and SS death index do have 1898, which may or may not be correct.
The grave markers are usually made within a few months after the death. So after the family sorts through the deceased's belongings and the family comes together, correct dates are discovered, thus the difference in death dates from the certificate which is created at death and the marker created after some time has passed.
One way to figure this out is to find the US 1900 census record for the family (death certificate says Wade was born in TX) to see if Wade was listed as an infant or a 2 year old. I did a quick check but could not find it. I am assuming the family immigrated from Syria or a nearby country, so I would not know if they adopted Americanized names or name spellings which is keeping me from finding them. If you find it let me know, and what it is listed under. I can then make a change to the year of birth and place notes on the record as to why there is a discrepancy. -- Thanks! -- Laurel

|Cemetery Walker||Photo Request: Beverly Eckerman|
A number of years ago (15-20) a cataloging of gravesites was done for Memorial Park. Of course, since Beverly Eckerman died only a few years ago, she is not listed. The cemetery is a little too large for me to wander through...but, possibly, might she have been buried in a family plot, or close to other relatives? I may be able to look them up in the book, and find the general location.
