RE: Memorial - Birth Year
There was absolutey no sarcasm in the message I sent. It was merely to point out the reason that I suggested you should correct the birth date. And I do not "monitor this cemetery just looking for problems ....." I was adding memorials, and found that you had already added one for this person. Talk about sarcasm ..... !!

Audrey Ramsay Prest
McKinnies, Hunter

Wow what fact-filled bio! I've transferred management of these two to you so you can add the bio and any future details you may have. They are not related to me, and you clearly know them. I'm sure you understand that I am not comfortable adding information that I do not know personally.
Cheers, Audrey

The Wells family is not my family. I only have information that was found on the stone or in OBIT's that I may have read. So I am no help in untangling the mystery.

RE: Just...thank you!
Thank you for your nice comments. There are two contributors that have taken cemetery lists from local historical websites and created memorials from them. They're not even from this state. They're clearly out for the numbers. The only good thing is that one of them consistently makes updates for me on a daily basis (easier now, with this new edit system). I'm sure I'm a pain in her butt but I believe that if you're going to create a memorial, you should be as accurate and complete as possible. I don't believe in adhering to the "minimum" of this site's guidelines of only needing a name and death date.

My bio says it all, but I treat each memorial as if they're my own family with the same care and respect. These were people and someone's loved ones. And as for infants from years ago, this may be the only thing that shows or documented that they once lived.

I have a large number of memorials created, but I'm not in it for the numbers. As anyone can see, I also have a large number of requests fulfilled. I had knee surgery a week ago Friday and I spent three hours hobbling around looking for 2 requests to photograph and paid by having to ice my knee the rest of the day. But to me it was worth it because I was able to help someone that I was e-mailing and helping them with their family research.

I've done all I could on my family tree and because it's an obsession with me, all I can do now is help others. Plus, it keeps me busy and out of trouble... lol. No matter what my intentions or my sacrifices for this site and for others, I still run into a nut job from time to time, so it is nice to get some positive feedback from someone. It's this type of message that reminds me that I'm doing the right thing.

Thank you very much for taking the time to send such a nice message!

I appreciate your kind words. I do try my best to provide as many links and as much information as possible to every memorial I create. I also recommend quite a few edits to other memorials. I do this because I want a complete picture of each of my ancestors, not only for my children, and grandchildren, but for all that are related to the deceased. I do agree it seems a lot of people create memorials to run up the numbers, and I also find it quiet amusing that others actually request that you ask for permission to use the photo they freely provided to this great public resource, and while the site isn't an official genealogy cite , it is fast becoming just that, especially since Ancestry.Com became the owner.

Hi :) I'm sorry the picture isn't better. It was cold, rainy, and cloudy, and I had my daughter and son-in-law with me (we were on a cruise stop) and since they aren't Find A Gravers, I was trying to hurry. Take Care. Kathy

I amended the date(5.3.1992 = 5th March 1992 in UK)

I would suggest you write to the cemetery in care of the church and see what they can tell you about this family. Born in 1855 he has obviously died and it is very possible his family just never had the dates inscribed.

I'm not sure what your email means exactly. I have instructions in my bio for letting me know about duplicates -- and the online listing for this cemetery is incomplete and kind of a mess so I don't generally consider it a bible.

This just seems to be a simple duplicate in need of deletion. All the other detail is confusing to me - I'm just going to delete mine. If you are saying there is another person by that name but the details are wrong, feel free to re-enter anew.

Janice Hensley
Pierson family
Virginia Lee (Moore) Pierson is her full name. #67017731. She was married to #45785150 H. Warren (Happy) Pierson. You have them linked with their son, Marvin, but do not have the two of them linked. Could you please do this. This is my Uncle & Aunt (My Mom's brother. They died the same month in 2004)
Thank you.

John Speer
Henry Kitka in Seattle
I have taken thousands of photos of markers of complete strangers to pay back the many folks who have helped me in my own research along the way. I am not at all strict about guidelines in transferring, so if you discover more info about Henry, you can now add it and do links yourself.

This is the same section Frank & Lena are in but they are in lot 4496 and she is in lot 5509

If this is her let me know and I can transfer her to you.

I removed my listings for Lena & Frank, our information on names and dates was different which was how I created the dupes.
