I see you have a photo request at North Cedar Hill Cemetery. There are currently over 170 requests for photos there. May I suggest you call the cemetery and get the section and lot number. The phone number of the cemetery office is 215-535-0134. Once you have this information, repost (edit) your photo request with the additional information.

Photo request at Metairie Cemetery
I see you have a photo request at Metairie Cemetery. I'm out at Metairie often, but the cemetery is huge. There are currently 87 requests for photos there. If I present a list of 87 graves asking for locations, the lady will probably shoot me. If you can call the cemetery and get the location, I'll be happy to try to locate the grave and take a photo for you. The phone number of the cemetery office is 504-486-6331.

Be aware that Metairie has locations listed by who owns the cemetery plot. For example, they couldn't find my uncle who died in 2006 until I realized he was buried with his in-laws who died in the 1960s. When you call, have a list of other surnames for them to check under in case your person is buried with in-laws, etc.

You requested a photo for the man above. This man cannot be found unless you find out who owns the plot he is buried on. The cemetery has no record of where he is buried. There are at least 10,000 graves here, so with no record unless a photo survey is ever done, he will never be found.

I noticed you have a photo request for this memorial. I live in Mifflin County but I am not related to anyone here. If you would like me to transfer the memorial to you, I will (and any others that I post for Mifflin.)

photo request
I plan to visit the Phila national Cemetery either the last week of August or 1st week of September. The cemetery is divide by section using the alphabet. I fyou can provide the section and put it where the plot goes I gladly try to get your photos. Large cemetery would make it much easier to find.

RE: 3rd Georgia Infantry
Hi again - I did find another grave for someone from the 3rd GA at OCC in Lynchburg that you might be interested in. I couldn't find a name to match it on the roster at the cemetery entrance, but maybe you can identify him. His initials on the headstone are "WRY" & unit shows "I 3 GA". I've got a pic of the marker so if you can find a name to match I can add it. Hope this helps you!

RE: William H. Reid
I was glad to get the photos for William Reid, but sorry that the graves for the smallpox soldiers are unmarked. I left short notes w/the pics so hopefully you'd understand that the best I could find for a headstone was the large CSA Smallpox Soldiers' memorial. Let me know if you need a phooto anyone else from the 3rd GA.

Yarbrough Hunter
Bonaparte Tucker
Pvt Bonaparte Tucker is buried in Section 28 Site 2726. The Grave Locator had his date of death as October 16, 1863. If you have a more official documentation for his date of death, it is probably more accurate. Sometimes the locators don't get all the info correct but I wanted to let you know of the difference anyway.

Hollywood Graves
Hi David,

I will see what I can do. Many graves are marked with stones that have just numbers on them. I will shoot them if that is what I find. Those graves without markers are not as easy to locate. They can at times, be mixed up and not in order. I will do what I can and get back to you.

Hollywood requests
Hi David,

I am heading to Hollywood Cemetery later this month for research and will try to get photos of your people, but suspect that they are probably unmarked graves. In the meantime, here are their grave locations. All are in the Soldiers Section. I hope this helps a little.

Wade - Sec. V, Lot 281
Anderson - Sec. U, Lot 521
Bozeman - Sec. W, Lot 721
Dickey - Sec. A, Lot 17
Eastwood - Sec. H, Lot 193
Evans - Sec. N, Lot 43
Handley - Sec. V, Lot 114

Kith and Kin
Columbus Barber's grave
Sorry to report his grave is not marked with a stone. This cemetery office provided this additional information you may add to his listing: born about 1838, died 2 June 1864, buried soldier's section J, plot 46. He was a member of Co. K, 3rd Georgia Infantry. Should you wish to mark his grave, the federal government will provide a stone and the cemetery will install for a fee. Contact Hollywood for details.

Columbus Barber
Do you have any more information about Columbus? Was he a soldier? Confederate or Union? Do you have the approximate location of his grave? I'll try to find it for you.
