Well it certainly wouldn't be the first incorrect gravestone that I have come across. Where the saying written in stone comes from I will never know since clearly even that is not correct. Would you like the memorial transferred to you. She is not related to me in any way. If so, put through a request for transfer via the memorial. I will be happy to do that.

Thank you ever so much for the page transfer! What timing that was, my Husband and I will be going to the funeral for his Aunt Betty tomorrow and now I can give the Family a copy (thanks to you) of Betty's memorial page. I Love it when things like this come together. Cheryl

I think we may have shared some family info years ago concerning the Smith & Storms family in Bridgeton. I don't see a memorial for CHARLES N. SMITH who is husband of ELLEN JANE SMITH both buried in Bridgeton. I am including this obit. I hope to come up there this summer to take some photo's myself. Charles & Ellen are my gr-grandparents.
Charles N. Smith died at his home, 60 Webster St., Grand Rapids, Michigan, Monday, May 6th, 1907; age 70 years, 4 months, 23 days, of chronic bronchitis.
Deceased was born at Albany, NY, he moved with his parents overland to Canada, afterwards moving to Jackson, Michigan, Kalamazoo, Alpine and Plainfield. When he was eighteen he located at Bridgeton, Michigan, where he married Ellen Smith. To this union six children were born. His wife Ellen died June 2nd 1895. He was married September 15, 1901 to Mrs. Susan Babcock at Grand Rapids, Michigan, residing there until his death.
A funeral sermon was preached Wednesday afternoon,, May 8th, the Rev. McNemer of the Scribner St. Baptist church officiating. His remains were taken by train Thursday a.m. to Grant, and a second sermon was preached at the Sand Creek schoolhouse Thursday at 2:30. He was laid to rest beside his wife Ellen in the family plot. He is survived by his six children: Leon Smith, of Garfield twp, Jessie, of Northern Michigan. Mrs. Wm. Garvey of Muskegon; Mrs. J. Chittister of Muskegon, Clark of Ashland twp, and Earl of Muskegon, also the second wife and three step-children.
He was a man of good habits; kind to his family, and was loved by all who knew him

If the snow ever goes away, I will go over and take another look - as much as we have had so far in December, it may take until mid-June before it all melts!!

I cannot say for sure where Clara Colligan is buried. The only information I have is from the death certificate, so it is possible that she is buried at St. Bart's. I have photographed that cemetery also and did not find a marker for here there. If you find anything definitive let me know and I will change it. I have added to the memorial that it is possible she is buried at St Bart's.

Just as an information update, I added a new memorial for Wilma L. Ross Harkness (# 122074606) and linked it to her mother Emma E. Whitman Ross and father Asa E. Ross, which are memorials you created.
Thanks for creating them!

I was wondering if you knew much about Elliot Griffin, Died in Missouri, that is on a memorial page that you made for his wife. In my tree, I have Elliot Griffin, son of Ezra Griffin, Jr. & Laura Peller, brother of Julietta Lorrianna Griffin Luke Harmon. The Elliot Grfiin in our tree grew up on a farm, was a mechanic, and was once married to "Emma E.". These people settled and died in Harrison County Missouri and at least Ezra & Laura are buried in the Brown Cemetery there. The cemetery has been abandoned and the stones are down, but I found & photographed them. Please let me know if you think this is the same person. Thanks.

His father was Jorgen Madsen Petersen Frimurer (like the rest of his relatives in the US he dropped the Frimurer)- Find A Grave Memorial# 117178492. His mother was Inger Petersdatter Mørk (the Mørk was taken from an area close to Sønder Stenderup were she lived, having been born in Vonsild - Find A Grave Memorial# 117178934.
