RE: More on the Carroll and Shanahan Family
Patrick and Catherine Allen Carroll are already posted.
I think we are all caught up.
Is there any others you would like me to scout around for?

John J
I think maybe the two John Js are a duplicate because the John J showing the death year of 1897 shows thesame inscription as Annie and I dunno- what do you think?

RE: Thank you!!!
Curious on the genetic cause if you wold share. I would love for you to post the memorials. I would double check some of them before you make them, I was getting a little confused with the duplicate names and close birth and death dates. After you make memorials let me know and I will post pix. Deal?

This cemetery has gone through a lot of destruction over the last 150 years. There is no longer a stone for Margaret McAchran.

There were 6 listed, and I walked the entire place, and only found 2. Makes me wonder how accurate the obits were. If you call the funeral home or the cemetery association maybe you can get a more specific location and I'll go again! There were some with only the standard metal marker from the funeral home, but I looked at those too! Still a mystery!

Sorry, I don't have any information for you. We canvassed the cemetery in 1992 and found his stone, but there was no information on the stone. I'll look through my pictures to see if I can find one for this stone. We tried to take pictures of any stones before 1910, but since I have boxes of them it make take me awhile to find Concord Cemetery and that doesn't mean we took a picture.
Thanks,
Carol

Next to Hicks is Sammie Ann Easterly, his wife, 1893-1965. Hicks stone had to be dug out.

There is also in the same plot
Ollie Dyer Sr 1886-1948

The next plot over is a family of Dyers. I did not take those photos but there is an Ida Phillips Dyer next to Ollie. Should you need better, clearer photos, please do not hesitate.

Hi back Lisa, how interesting.. Do you have any info on Thomas Nerbonne who was William's cousin. He was married to my great aunt at one time.
Thanks,

Hello Lisa,
I wondered if you have any family connection to the the Nerbonne family. Thomas was a cousin of William, who was married to my great aunt at one time.
Thanks,

Hi there,

No, Alder and Spruce are far away from each other. I need to scan a map of the cemetery and get it to you. Can you email me so I have your email address?

No marker ;o(
I was SO hoping that Maggie had a marker.

The office had said that there was no marker and I went out to her location just to be sure.

Sometimes, the office will show no marker and the family has placed one of their own....but not in this case.

Maggie
Hi Lisa,

I just wanted to let you know that I have Maggie's location and I'll be going tomorrow to get her photo. I am so sorry that it's taken me so long to get the photo, but we were on vacation and then our third little boy came into our home. I've been a busy bee.

But, I'll be going tomorrow to get the photo.

I hope you're well,

Chad

I don't know if Maggie was married before Alfred......or if her first marriage was when she was in her 60s

Maggie
Hey there,

Been doing some research on the plane for Maggie. You might already know all this but....

It seems that she was Alfred C. Gourly's 2nd wife and they married about 1938 or 1939. In the 1940 census, Alfred and Maggie are married and living in California. It says that, in 1935, Maggie lived in Tacoma and Alfred lived in Nebraska. Then, going back in the census records, I see that Alfred was married to Jessie C. ______-Gourly. They had 5 children and Jessie died in 1938 and is buried in Lincoln, Nebraska...with Alfred and their 1 daughter, Uma Gourly-Reid (who married William K. Reid)

It looks like, at some point, Maggie moved back to Tacoma and is living at 1202 S. "M" St, Apt A. in the late 50s until her death. The building where she lived has been torn down and a newer building is on that same spot (built in about 1970.)

just left atlanta today and now writing this from about 25,000 feet (lol), isn't technology fun?!
remember those airphones that they used to have on planes where you could just swipe your cc? It cost an arm and a leg just for a few minutes.

Anyway, landing in Seattle about noon.

Talk to you soon

RE: Margaret Baynham Gourly grave

Hi there,

I love projects around the house.

We have been vacationing in Florida and Georgia for our Spring Break and just went to Zoo Atlanta today. It's been great with our 2 little boys. Soon, though, we'll be adding another boy to the mix!
