|sticksandstones||RE: Lena Perkins Lapies|
I happened to be looking at Paul Rugers page, and saw your message to him regarding grave plot numbers at Ballston Spa. I don't remember any Suggest A Correction or inquiry about her grave. The information came from the Saratoga County Genealogical Society transcription records from the late 1800s that posted o their website. There were thousands of graves, and if the was a mistake here or there, it may have been overlooked. You can go there to verify the grave information.
It's imperative people use the SAC via the edit tab, opposed to simple messaging. I manage thousands of memorials, and sometimes there are so many that go by, that some get overlooked. Some volunteers have turned off messaging altogether, just for that reason, and to remove the commentary on their work. Happy July 4th to you.

I went back to the cemetery tonight and did find Orpha. I have uploaded a photo of her. She is right next to Andrew Brower (50335815). On the back of her stone is engraved "Mother." There was no headstone for Lena but that doesn't mean that she isn't buried there. Perhaps there wasn't enough money for a headstone, or it was simply forgot. I am going to see if the cemetery has any record of her burial.

I hope you don't mind me asking since you were in the same class. would you happen to have any school Pictures from a year book of Danny. If so and you don't mind sharing with me my email is firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you Debby Pat

I note that you created a memorial page for Allen and wonder if you know whether or not he is living or deceased? I am researching the Coleman family history, and if he is deceased I would like to fill in his date and place of death. Any help you can provide will be most appreciated.

Find A Grave #95308126 - I have a source that says Desire married Thomas Cooper after Noadiah's death, but can find no other info on him. I know Desire's parents were Samuel and Dorothy (Ward) Cooper. Do you have any additional info? Noadiah is a 3rd cousin.

Her birthdate shows her older than her mother Susanna. I believe this is wrong somewhere along the line.

I always use degrees & minutes with my hand-held GPS. Findagrave only allows decimal format. I thought I would just plug my data into their format, but it looks like that will cause problems. I've converted the numbers for the Haydens and resubmitted. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

|Kimberly Eckhardt||RE: James Herbert Johnson|
So the town clerk responded, that they do not have a list of burials that they know do not have markers. So I will have to assume since I was in the correct plot, and all the other Johnsons are there, either James is unmarked or elsewhere :(

So I've contacted the town clerk for Weston, VT, who maintains the cemetery records. She printed out the Johnson family plot location for me, and I could not find James. His parents are there, and quite a few siblings. I have sent the clerk another email to see if there is a record that his burial is unmarked, and will file that info on your request if so. But if he is there, he has no marker. Sorry about that, but I can get most of the rest of his family if you need those!

|Joan H. Bixby||Monty Harry Page|
Debby, would you please remove your memorial for Monty Harry Page #74963885, he is buried in the East Clarendon, Vt. cemetery. He is my husband's bio. father. I posted a memorial for him back in 2007 under his right name Harry "Monty" Page.
I know his death certificate list him as Monty Harry Page, but that was not his legal name.
Thank you, Joan H. Bixby

No problem. I wish I had more time to upload all the missing graves in that cemetery. My parents live in the old farm house on the hill next to this cemetery.
So you are related to the Johnsons and I am related to the Olneys -- we are almost relatives!

|Genealogist Searching New Hampshire||Edits to be processed|
I have submitted a bunch of edits via the new edit feature, not sure if you are aware of this because the edits have not been made, so this is just a friendly reminder:
What is the new Edit tab on my contributor page?
We currently are working to update our "Suggest A Correction/Submit an Edit" system. At this time, Find A Grave contributors may submit updates to the Name, Birth and Death Dates and Locations, and Plot fields via a new Edit System. When they submit edits to any of those fields, the managing contributor will no longer receive an email notification. These edits are now waiting for the managing contributor's review on their Contributor Page.
To review edits to these fields that have been submitted for memorials you manage, go to your 'Contributor Tools' and click on the 'Edits' tab.
The edits awaiting your approval will be listed with a link to the memorial page, the public name of the contributor who submitted the edit and the date it was submitted, and the information currently in the field and the suggested updated information for the field. There is then the option to Accept, Decline, or Ignore the submitted edit. If you Accept the edit, the changes will automatically be made for you and the person who submitted the update will receive an email confirming that the edits were made. If you Decline the edit, you will need to select a reason why you are declining it, and the changes will not be made the person who submitted the update will receive an email with the reason why you declined it. If you Ignore the edit, it will stay in your queue for your later review.
In the near future, we hope to add the ability to submit relationship links via this system. We will also have a time limit on the processing of edits, so that the memorials of contributors who are no longer active on Find A Grave may still be updated. As part of the time-limit feature, contributors who have edits in their queue for a certain number of days will receive an email notification about the pending edits waiting review.
The new system will save contributors a lot time in making edits to their memorials, as the managing contributor will no longer have to search for the memorial page, open the edit feature, search for city locations, etc. It will automatically go through with the contributor's approval.
