we have found 3 censuses with her in them and her obituary, one census says she was born in PA, one in Ireland and even one that she was born in England but not a sign of a parent name. We do not know where she was married so we cannot access that record to get it and if she was born in PA they just send me on a wild goose chase to try to find her. The church where one child was baptized did not even do me the courtesy of a reply.
Lots of Irish folks want to help us search there--for a nice fat fee!!! LOL Thanks for your interest, these little mysteries (which my family is full of) make you wish that you could follow the cookies back and be there.

Thank you---could be I think he died at as young man in the Potomac. My Grandfather was the 7 year old Carleton E. and there was an older brother who died at age 9 or was confused with another one in some info. No one ever had talked about him and he was also a Carleton. They were not very original with names!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are desprite to find out about his wife Susan Killen Uber. we have no record of her parents names and do not know whether she was born here after coming from Ireland or whether born in PA. They are the least helpful state on records I ever saw!!! You actually have to know the county they were born in!!! big mess for old state!!!

There are several Frederick Ubers in this area mentioned and this one was connected in a document to our family tree. I was attempting to find information to indicate he was or was not. I am still unsure as the parents listed were Carlton A. Uber and Susan Killen Uber---definitely my great grandparents thru son Carlton E. Uber maternal grandfather thru Susanne Uber. of Accomack Co, VA. can you tell me who I might contact to find out it this is the brother by the same name?

Thank you so much for the Frank C. Brandt posting. The pics were so good that I was able to see my Great-grandfather's name, Rudolph and his death data, 1919 which I've been searching for a long time. Exactly why it helps to look at siblings. What a find!
Have a very happy holiday and new year!
