Isaac DeCow
According to Norfolk County records Isaac DeCow is buried in the "Doan's Hollow Cemetery" and not the Port Dover Cemetery as indicated in his memorial.
If you look up "Norfolk Genealogy" you will find a video on the Doan's Hollow Cemetery. I will endeavour to locate his grave stone for you when time permits.

Daniel & Nancy Dickson - Bailey Cemetery

Good Evening Julie,

There were more graves to photograph than you were earlier lead to believe. I suspect they would not have been as obvious to the eye in the morning hours as the Dickson Monument and inscription face west. These are now photographed and posted on their respective 'Find A Grave' memorial sites.

Don't Rush
You take your time.
I'll be waiting to hear from you.

I'm glad you liked the photos.
Oakes is my parents hometown. We spent a lot of time there visiting when we were kids growing up.
I love the town. It's a great place.

Stephan Millard
This was a fun one. And for a while a very confusing one. I knew going in that Stephan was probably buried next to his wife, Catherine. That's not always true even if they are buried in the same cemetery.
I also knew that Stephan's daughter, Jerushia Libby, and his son-in-law, Josiah Libby were buried in Oakes View as well. And sure enough, I found all four of them together. The problem was with the fifth person, Flora Libby.
OK, I asked myself, if Josiah and Jerushia are married then who is this Flora and why is Josiah buried next to her and not next to Jerushia?
Man,I was stumped. I figured maybe a sister but, again, why is he buried next to her.
Then it came to me, and I doubled checked when I got home.
Flora is Josiah's first wife. He must have bought two plot when she passed (at a very young age) and then after he remarried the Millards bought up the rest of the property.
Anyhow, after all of that, you will see that I have pictures for all five.
I hope you enjoy them all.

(PS: sorry about my car in the background)

George Russell
RE: Karcher Family
Is John Adam Karcher a son of Adam Karcher?
My connection to the Karcher family of Bowne Twp, is with Adam's brother George (1829-1907) who married into my Crumback family. I don't have any info on Adam's family.

Abijah Abraham searles
You have a pending photo request for Abijah Searles memorial #27989992 at Resurrection Cemetery. I don't think he is buried there. I think the correct record for him is listed as Abraham Sears memorial #31232898 at Brunstetter Cemetery (Old).

Harmon Nowlin
While I was taking the photo of Harmon Nowlin & wife, I noticed that there were other Nowlins buried near this couple. They are: Eliza J (1819-1886) and Mary 1821-1859. Also, at the foot of the Nowlin's headstone there are two smaller markers - Frances C (1839-1914) and John W(1835-1917). If these would be of interest, I'm glad to send them to you. Because the Bruce Cemetery (aka the Bruce Baptist Cemetery)is maintained and administered by an association, it is locked. Fortunately the grave you sought was near the fence!

Re Bowman Cemetery
Hi Julie,
Bowman is a very small cemetery. Only a few stones are standing or are still legible and I believe they all have been photographed. If you do a google search for Bowman Cemetery, you will find a link for a man who has done an extensive survey there. He should have all the info you need. If you need more help, let me know. I live around the corner.
Best, Suzanne

I would love to know more abour Rosalth Erway Raymond, the daughter of Daniel and Hilah Erway. Do you have any pictures of this family? All I know about them is what I have put on her "Find a Grave" and what I have found in the Federal censuses. Thank you, Millie

Daniel Erway
I wonder if the Daniel Erway Mem#5623321 is a different person because I too have Hilah's husband in the 1880 census and his birthdate would be abt 1907 not 1797, maybe a relaltive of some sort. I am curious about your last name Marsh as I am related to John and Rebecca Leverich Marsh that came to Oregon on the Oregon Trail in 1852. I live in Oregon, where are you?

Sara Peacock
RE: Hiram Barrett
Sorry, I am not a member of the family. I do a lot of genealogy and search a lot of cemeteries. I research death records and when I find one that lists the cemetery that the person was buried in - then I log it in findagrave. Sara
