Peter Shanaman
Hello Carol,
That was a nice epitaph you left for my father. Unfortunately, there are a few inaccuracies. First, he was not an astronomer or meteorologist. He was a chemist by degree but held no degrees in other fields. My father was hated by your grandmother and my loving aunt, Christine. My father hated her also and criticized and spoke badly about her to me many times. I defended her and was brutalized by beatings for standing up for her. My sister and I were taken away from him and put into Bethany Children's Home in Womelsdorf by the court of New York for neglect and abuse. The neighbors in Brooklyn called the police on him and he was arrested for child abuse. It was thanks to your grandmother and her sister, Aunt Gladys Bamford that we were rescued and sent to a Christian childrens home. My father was a pathological liar. He said he was a soldier in WWII but that was a lie. He was deferred by his continual school attendance and because he had connections. His father, my grandfather, Forest Ritter Shanaman, was a president judge of Berks county and political pull. I was told by my grandfather that he managed to keep Peter out of the war. He was a brutal, mean-spirited, man who neglected his two children. He was a philanderer who cheated on his wife at many opportunities. Aunt Christine had told me of his indiscretions. Your grandmother was an honorable woman and it would upset her if she saw the way Peter was remembered. Your are a good person also for writing this but be advised, you are quite wrong about this man.
Aloha, Kurt Shanaman

Transfer Management?
Hellow Carol and Pete,

Thank you for creating a memorial for my Aunt Garnet. She was so very dear to me and my family. I have added a couple photos and sponsored the page to remove adds, but the bio needs a personal touch to tell her story, because you see she was a very special and extraordinary person and is missed deeply, since her death in 2010. If you would consider transferring management to me, it would be in good hands and I would good care for the memorial with the attention it deserves. The memorial number is 131929599

Thank you,

Elaine

Charles H Angstadt
I just noticed that you denied a link request I made back in Feb for Charles Angstadt (93826823). I think this was to link him to his parents, John B. Angstadt (106028549) and Esther (Deisher) Angstadt (106028515). I was wondering why this was denied, if I need to correct my data.

I was using Charles' obituary as the basis for this linking:

Charles H Angstadt, 87, of 1572 Mineral Spring Rd., was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday at Community General Hospital. Born in Fleetwood, a son of the late John B. and Esther (Deisher) Angstadt, he was a retired florist. Angstadt was a member of Park Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Surviving are his widow, Lydia H. (Boyer) Angstadt; a son, Earl K. of Longview Farm, Reading; a daughter, Marguerite, wife of P. Paul Herb, Adamstown, and three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are in charge of T C Auman, Inc.

Source Reading Eagle online Mar 11 1963 p18

Please let me know if you have other information that caused you not to approve the linking.

Thanks,
Eileen Hilbert

A correction to the place of death. Lebanon MO is in Laclede County not Cooper. He is my great grandfather.

Thank you for the photo of Darren Butler. Do you have any other information - like the relationship to Alonzo... or if any relatives were buried nearby? Every itty bitty helps.

Much obliged,

Edwin Angstadt
Thank you for the photo and added info on Edwin and Margaret Angstadt. The original creator of their memorials transferred a large group of Angstadt memorials to me since I was doing research on the Angstadts, who are related to our Hilberts. Not knowing when Edwin was born, I couldn't determine where he belonged in the family tree. With your information, I now know who he was and have linked him to his family.

Thanks again,
Eileen Hilbert

Hey , I called the Historical Society and they told me the Welsh Baptist Burial Grounds no longer exsist but from your photos that doesn't seem true. Could you help me by telling me where this place is?
