RE: Ruth Ann Fread
The cemetery is Greenhill Cemetery in Moultrie Co, Il. The memorial says created by Dorothy Butt, the photo says added by JMS. Is Dorothy who I should be in contact with rather than you? ~ Bert

Ruth Ann Fread
I am very new at searching so forgive me if I am not doing this correctly. I believe that Ruth Ann Fread is the daughter of my 2xgreat grandfather Ferdinand Turner but the birth date on this memorial does not match other info I have found; family names do. I am having trouble reading the lower half of the stone, is it possible for you to tell from the original picture what it says? Thank you, first of all for the service you do for everyone and thank you for any help you can give me. ~ Bert Wilhelm

RE: HEADSTONES
To the best of my recollection we took photos of all headstones. Linn is a direct descendant of Mary and Zenas. There was no headstone for Mary (Cunningham) Prather. She remarried for a short time, but believe she still went by Prather after she was divorced from her second husband. Not sure about her daughter Mary.

I took this from the cemetery book so not sure if there is a stone. I did take a lot of pictures in this cemetery but if there is a stone for this one I missed it.

John & dau. Jesse Goodwin @ Harrison Cem.
Rec'd your message; currently on vacation; difficult sending messages out from Outlook. Will try to check the Goodwins out when I return home in a few weeks. Unfortunately, I recently got a new laptop and have not yet transferred all my files. I have the digital copies of all Marion Co. Gen Soc Quarterlies on my other computer at home. It's easy to do a search for a name in all issues at one time. If nothing found there I'll try to find an obit at the Genealogy Society library the next time I'm in Salem .

Linking Ada Bushnell Davis to her family
Thank you for entering Ada Bushnell Davis to findagrave. She is the daughter of Hiram and Hannah McMurray Bushnell and was my grandfather's 1st cousin.

I was wondering if it would be possible to link Ada to her mother and father. Much thanks, Bob McMurray

RE: Anna McDonald
I requested the obituaries from the Decatur, IL Public Library and this is what they sent to me.
Anna Elliott McDonald is my wife's grandfather, Mitchell Dea Elliott, younger sister. We made a trip to the Sullivan, IL area just a week ago to find more info on the Elliott's.
We obtain Anna's birth certificate at the Moultrie County Courthouse and it states the birth date as November 21, 1885.
Do you have any information or pictures on Lorinda (Lee) Elliott, Anna's mother? She is the wife of James Thomas Elliott. We are looking for a date of death and burial information.
How are you related and where are you located?

William "Willie" Maldon French
William "Willie" Maldon French Find A Grave #49845852 (French Cemetery) was married to my grand aunt, Lillie Valeria Thomas. I notice on his headstone the death date has not been included. Do you live close to Mattoon, Illinois and would it be possible to check for an obituary on him? Living in South Carolina it is impossible at this time to check myself. I have followed his life up until 1953 and he was living in Mattoon, Illinois. He may have lived until 1961. I would appreciate the assistance very much.

RE: Greenhill Cemetery, William Bath Patterson
Hi,

Thanks so much for your quick reply and for adding the headstone photo to his memorial! Awesome! I show William's birthdate to be abt Sep 1849 (based on age listed in 1850 and 1860 census records). If the headstone and/or cemetery records show he was 12Y 1M 26D old at death, that would make his death year 1861. It appears the headstone is really worn, so it may be really hard to decipher the death year. What do you think?

I appreciate your time and assistance!

Thank you,
Sandra Bathe Cole

Greenhill Cemetery, William Bath Patterson
Hi,

I was referred to contact you by Janet Donner. She mentioned you had walked the cemetery and taken photos in the last couple of years and you might be able to help me.

I am trying to locate any information or headstone photos on Find A Grave Memorial #34360001, William Bath Patterson. I believe he is the youngest child of my 3x great grandparents (James Bathe and Malinda Powell Bathe). James and Malinda both died around 1853 leaving 6 children. The children were split out among family members. William Bathe (born abt 1849) went to live with David & Polly (Harbaugh) Patterson. Polly Harbaugh was a sister to Sara Harbaugh, who was married to John Powell; John was Malinda Powell's brother.

I feel fairly certain that this is the William "Bathe" I am looking for, but wondered if you might have any other info or possibly a photo of his headstone.

Thanks so much for your time and assistance!
