|lilysmom86||18471273 Octavia Basham|
Your record indicates Octavia married Andrew McGaugh in Dec. 1870 and divorced him a month later. It shows no children being born of this marriage. I have a family Bible page that indicates the two were married at that time and had a son named Jake. I don't have a birthdate for him and am unsure if Jake was his given name or a nickname. Do you have records verifying the divorce? I can't find anything for that or the birth so am at a brick wall.

As per your suggestion: I will be deleting the Basham 1890 - 1959.
Minnie E Davis Basham is where the photo belonged.

|BJM||RE: Winna Bassham|
I believe it was from the Quaker Records from Bedford County, VA, that is where I found her sister Elizabeth's information. Her sister, Elizabeth Jones married Jonathan Basham. Both sister's information is available on VAGenWeb at http://www.vagenweb.org/bedford/bedf-m_b.htm
I have the Quakers Records on a CD. When you look on VAGenweb, you see that Elizabeth's parents information is a bit messed up. Shows their surname as Jhons. Jonathan Basham's father is William Basham.
Winifred and Archibald's entry is the first one for Basham. He goes by his middle name, Archer. Winifred's names is shown as "Winna Jons". No surety or witnesses are named for their marriage.
Hope this information will help you.

|Kathleen Boyd||Margaret Morrison-Basham FAG # 52873780|
I realize Margaret is probably related to you, but, as her headstone just says Morrison, do you have documentation you can post to the memorial showing the Basham connection? Marriage license? Death Certificate?

|Kathleen Boyd||Marshal Hunter Morrison|
I'm going to leave it as Marshall M since that is what the headstone says. Should you ever track down what the "M" stands for, I will make a correction.

|William Mattingly||Elijah Basham|
I have never been able to prove the connection but have believed for some time that Elijah was a son of Manoah Stone Basham and Elizabeth Armes. Maybe someday.

I got a message saying you were transferring his memorial to me. When I looked, I found I had created the memorial. Was it a Find-A-Grave glitch?
