RE: Goins
I am the gr gr grandson of Rance Goins. My family has always known where he is buried. I have been researching my family for more than 30 years so I too have spent much time on the Goins family history.

Ruffatto
You are very welcome Harv. I added a couple of others to the cemetery. Everyone was buried together. I noticed their names changed to Ruffatt. Mary Ruffatto is buried next to Andra, however, Find A Grave has her listed as Raffatt, I have submitted a correction based on her headstone. I added her picture also. Also, near them are Sylvia and Lucille Ruffatt. I added their pictures also.

I saw several Morris' in Paris. I noticed you said you were hunting for Morris'. The cemetery is missing a lot of profiles. If there is anyone you suspect might be buried there, let me know and I can check it out for you.

Happy hunting and thanks for you commitment to Find A Grave.

Hi! Reference your photo request(s) at Elmwood Cemetery in River Forest, Illinois.

I am one of the few people who actually photographs at this cemetery. There are over 70,000 burials in the cemetery, so there is no way that any photo volunteer is going to be able to find the graves unless you provide the plot location. The cemetery lots are also mostly unmarked which makes finding graves here very challenging.

If you call the cemetery they should provide you the grave plot.

Elmwood Cemetery: (708) 453-0273

The cemetery will not provide the grave plot to photo volunteers.

If you then send me the names and burial plots I should be able to provide you photos within a week or two afterwards (depending upon my schedule and Chicago weather).

Just so you know, the Find A Grave Help files also state that it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the burial plot location.

If you have any questions in regards to this information, please let me know.

RE: Joseph Ferris.
Not related either. :-) Just paying it backward and forward for the help others have given. I keep wanting to say I almost have this cemetery complete... but LOL.... that's not possible as it's still active. I have 95% of the pictures posted... I'm sure I won't get to 100%... but I'm about as done as I will be soon. :-) Thanks for all the work you've done!!!

RE: Combs family
Glad to help. I am not related to this family but do newspaper research and follow up with public family trees on Ancestry.com. It helps fill a lot of holes.

Thanks for all you do to promote family genealogies.

Hi! Regarding your photo request, can you please contact the cemetery and obtain the Section, Lot, and Grave Number information, and then post it to your request? Please also ask if there is a grave marker and add that information to your photo request and/or memorial. The Find A Grave FAQs state the photo requestor is responsible to provide this information.

Elmwood Cemetery: (708) 453-0273

This cemetery provides extremely limited assistance to photo volunteers with finding a grave's location. Last year I was able to fulfill almost 200 photo requests at Elmwood through this process. Because the lots in this cemetery are poorly marked, almost no one else ever photographs here. I have only had success here because I have spent literally weeks at a time to learn the intricacies of the layout of this cemetery.

Thank you for helping me to help you.

Harv,

I was deeply touched that you transferred this memorial to me! I never ask that memorials be transferred-it's more than gift enough that someone should care to give the time and effort to create one! Do you have a connection with Arlin Sr? Mine is not really "legal". (He is my husband's father)
Arlin Sr. died before I met "my" Arlin, but he is remembered and loved!

Sir, I have to apologize. I gave you the location of John M. Gill and Celia Gill's graves incorrectly. I looked at the information I had for someone else. I am truly sorry for getting your hopes up. Please forgive me.

John & Celia Gill
While researching Jerry Boyd & Lucy V. Gill, I found John McClish Gill & Celia Anna Kirby-Gill, my husband's great-great grandparents, who are buried in Lamar, Pontotoc Co, Oklahoma. Their graves are on this website. My husband's gr grandmother was Lucy Viola Gill-Boyd, married to Jerry Mire Boyd. Barney C.Boyd was his maternal grandfather, and he is buried in Duncan,Ok.

I'm sorry- at this time all I know is that Jessie died in 1979. I only know they lived in Nowata at the time that this happened. As soon as I can find out more, I will certainly share it w/ you!! Thanks so much for your time, & your patience w/ me! & Thank You for transferring (??) management of my grandfather's memorial to me!!

RE: Leonard T. Reeves - Hominy, OK.
I also have a question for you: I see that you have the Goins Family on your page. My husband's grandmother was supposedly a Goins, living in Nowata. The story has been told that her (my husband's grandmother- Jessie Mae) mother told her to go "look in" on her "sleeping" father, & when she did, he was dead. The mother then (again, supposedly) went "crazy", & took her 4 or 5 kids & just started "walking down the highway..." -Now I have no idea about the validity of this story. The outcome was that the children were put in an orphanage (I believe, it was Pawhuska, OK), & then adopted out. Jessie Mae (Goins?) was 4 or 5 when she was adopted. She then became Jessie Mae Hudiburg. Do you know about any of this????

Leonard was, in fact, married to Anna. I am new to this, but am instantly curious as to why you have their gravestone on your site?? I am their granddaughter. I can probably answer most questions about them.
