You are welcome, thankfully the sun came out, otherwise, the marker would have been hard to read and photograph. Steve

Please add picture to Aubrey R Dickson (113154286).....you have added to his wife Edna Dickson (64432850). I just added Aubrey so that i could link him to his wife, because i noticed from the picture that you had put on hers that he had already died so i used the info off the stone on her page. Thanks for taking the pictures in that cemetery.

Thanks for the information I was able to locate Jack Edwards obituary and found that he was buried in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas. When I went to Greenlawn in Groves today I found that all three were buried there and have uploaded pics and location of burial sites. You might want to change the cementery location on their pages to Groves, Texas / Jefferson County. Let me know if you need anymore help with pictures.

Hi. thanks for posting the picture! Granny's ex-husband was James Andrew Norris b 23Mar1881 and died 21Apr1944. She was a "grass widow" after their divorce until she died. They had one child together: Annie LaVelle Norris (1906-1956).
James Andrew Norris' parents were:
Ezekiel Andrew Norris (1860-1974) and Mary Eliza Cain (1860 - unknown)
hope this helps!

Irene, thanks for the information. His Find a Grave Memorial shows the Williams and Lord Metal marker. How ever since he was a U.S.Army veteran of WWII he would be entitled to the Government marker and I would hope that Williams and lord would have taken action to get one for him. If one is not in place there maybe the American Legion can take action to obtain one.I would hope that one is there. But as I am 800+miles from there there is not much I can do about the matter.

Hi, Irene -- I'm looking at the same picture you are, but the inscription looks clear to me. It says that she was born in North Carolina in 1833 and died November 22, 1898.

Yes, it was odd that Cornelius didn't mention Sarah in the Deed of Gifts. I suppose he knew his children would take care of her. No, I haven't seen your site on Ancestry, but I will look for it. Thanks for the info. Mark

Sorry for the delay in replying.
Having Cornelius at Wake Forest with Sarah is more an assumption at this point until definitive proof can be had as to his exact burial location. There is a rock at Sarah's grave with a "C" on it which is what I based the assumption on. Maybe I should have listed his place of burial as "unknown".

Yeah i have those two books already....dont have the ones for Clay county as when i went to see about getting one, they were really not into putting them online.....as a matter of fact when i said something to them they actually told me not to use that book to put names there...and that if i wanted names from Clay County to go to cemeteries myself, because that is what they did. I am from Clay county and have always thought that those people along with the ones from chickasaw county only care for money and not for preserving history like i am. i went to them about using the pictures cuz i saw so many mistakes in dates and things..they did not want anything to do with it.....thats why i came to findagrave!!!

|Crissa||RE: Hannah Johnson|
Thanks for the information, Irene. It actually doesn't fit with my research. This is what I am looking at:
It was suggested to me that James Johnson(#51360826) was married twice. I'm not sure of the spousal order, but the names are Louisa Robinson (#51360860) and a Hannah Unknown. I was hoping that this was my Hanna, but after researching her with the maiden name of Blackwell, it seems that she was married to a Harrison "Hiram" Johnson.
My ultimate goal in getting info on James Johnson's wives is to find his daughter, Melvina Johnson Walley, born about 1849 and thought to have died in 1932. I can't find her anywhere. She supposedly died in Belzoni (Humphreys County). She married Thomas Benjamin Walley. I am a direct descendant. I'm not sure if her mother was Louisa or Hannah. *sigh*
I hate being stuck! :)
Thanks again for the info... I appreciate it so much.

I noticed your comment on Hannah Johnson's memorial (#32238674). Do you know her maiden name by chance? Thanks! Have a wonderful day,
