RE: Nathaniel Livingston
I scoured the cemetery a few years ago and could not find a stone for her. I am planning another trip back in the next few months (probably in the spring now) and I shall make another attempt to locate it. I also searched several other local cemeteries as well -- at Vici and at Riley.

Joetta Frye
James Oliver Woody - McCrary Cemetery
Bill, You have years of birth and death listed for James Oliver Woody that do not match the years listed on the headstone for J O Woody in the McCrary Cemetery. I have genealogy information passed down to me from my Aunt and she has listed the same dates that you do...that do not match the headstone. Any idea why there is a mismatch and do you know which one is correct. I have been unable to find a death record for him.
Thank you,
Joetta Frye

Ahhh, it is for sure, you still live near? I am in Gladstone, basically born and raised in KC but mostly north of the river. Has been growing a lot lately especially Liberty is a boom town. Like their little square can hardly get there now.

Thanks Bill, I thought you would know of them. That family of Watkins just tips some of my Yates in that area. Have always been fascinated with Waltus Watkins family and the mill. I was so luck years ago a member of our church owned the brothers home outside of Liberty. Just loved that house with 18 inch walls. The owner was a TWA pilot and was trying to renovate it and my husband had his own electric co. so we went up a couple of times even went on a church hayride there. Was such a shame when it burned down, the owner had died and his son was living there and it caught fire think was on a Christmas Eve. They had the original blueprints and were going to try to rebuild, never happened. I used to go by every so often and the front wall of the house was still standing leaning on some boards..then just fell down over time. Was a beautiful home.

Hi Bill, I photographed Section 27 a few years ago (MML, Emporia), and apparently did not find a marker for Catherine. That doesn't mean that there isn't one, though! Usually Cheryl Henry checks this stuff out so will let her handle it. Becky

Orange B. Fales correction

Thank you for alerting me thru FindAGrave comments about error with Orange B. Fales. I was unable to see full picture of problem when I published my Supplement to John T. Fales' book, but have corrected my files properly now. We were missing a generation! I now have Orange Benjamin Fales, Jr. (b 1823 and married to Caroline Crane)having a son Orange Benjamin Fales (b 1849 and married to Nancy E. Ferrell). Note, I also corrected spelling of her name. Orange, Jr and Nancy had daughter Caroline L. Fales (b 1875 and married to Albert C. Yengling). Are you the William Alexander in JTF book, husband of Cecelia Parton? Pls respond to me at jerrybloom (at)
