Please check the memorials you added for Harkins (Cemetery) in Atoka County, Oklahoma, against those in the Confederate Cemetery in Atoka, Atoka County, Oklahoma. You will find many of them already had memorials in Confederate Cemetery.

I received the Obit for B. F. Ward which was published in The Western Baptist from Charline Roye Henderson, a descendant of of Sarah Ward Stegall (sister of B. F. Ward). Charline has since passed away & she handwrote the obit in a letter to me back in the 1970's. I had tried to track down information on this church and it's records through the "Mullins Baptist Association" and received the following information from Jerry Couch, Director of Missions, Mullins Baptist Association (mba@TEXHOMA.net) dated April 20, 2006: "We have records showing that J. L. Ward, J. J. Ward and B. F. Ward were all involved in the organization of the Mt. Grove Baptist Church. B. F. Ward was the first church clerk. J. J. Ward was pastor at Mt. Grove and later pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan, OK. J. J. Ward was the moderator when the Mullins Baptist Associaiton was organied in 1895. J. J. Ward pastored at least 21 churches in Mullins Association. His last pastorate was Immanuel Baptist Church of Duncan (1931-1938). He served as moderator of the association from 1900 until 1923 (a total of 24 years." That was all the information I was able to obtain. Hopefully this will be of some help to you. Please let me know if you find other records. Thanks so much, Frankie.

Dear Brandi - Glad to meet another relative. I began researching the Ward-Taylor family back in the 1970's and Mike Cobb had alot of information on Martha Ellen Taylor's line. Feel free to e-mail me at email@example.com if you want to exchange information.

Hey, you didn't know. Nothing to apologize for. I had to go out for one other picture, so I was there. It was a pleasure. I'm just sorry I wasn't able to locate him.

My cemetery book doesn't show a Lucy Lawrence born 1733, died 1826. being buried at the John Cate Cemetery. There are 6 with 2 not legible.
maybe her grave is unmarked?

Yes, they are sisters. Your great grandmother is my great grand-aunt. Hugh Mortimore, their brother, is my great grandfather. Can you send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org I would like to share my genealogy with you if you are interested. Who are your parents and grandparents?
I have a couple of photographs you will be interested in. Go to www.tim.wilkinson.org and click on the link that says family photographs. You will see a photo of two men in a horse drawn carriage. This is your great grandfather and mine. I also have a picture of your great grandmother, not sure if it is on that site or not but if not, I can find it and share it with you.

you said that Ida Rowe is your ancestor? what is your relationship to her? I'm asking because she is my gr aunt (or gr-gr?).

|Tim Wilkinson||wrong photo|
Thanks for posting a grave picture to my ancester Ida Rowe. Problem is though, you attatched the wrong picture. The one you posted is for a Ida Phillips. Different birth and death dates, etc. I checked and there is an Ida Phillips in that cemetery so I think you just put the wrong Ida on the wrong page.

Thanks for your time & effort in posting the tombstone photo for Lois Conyers. The information on the tombstone will fill in a lot of blank spaces on their family page.
