Thomas Filer # 129315321
Hello Barbara, I was wondering your connection? I submitted an edit adding James and Mary Filer as Thomas' parents who are also buried at Odd Fellows in Tamaqua, along with 2 siblings in section 4. In addition to his parents there are about 30 or so family members I am aware of including his grandparents John Filer and Eleanor (Filer) Sneddon in section 3 buried in Odd Fellows Tamaqua. John and Eleanor are my ggg grandparents. Another question I have is your record shows Mary E Filer's maiden name as "West" and I have her maiden name recorded as "Luke" I do have records suggesting that was her maiden name but the sources are weak, could you share your source supporting the "West" name .... in addition, James' sister Emma (also buried at Odd Fellows in section 1 ) was married to Thomas West. With Mary being such a common name I found records for both surnames West and Luke. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Colleen Filer.

Gone But Not Forgotten
RE: Floyd Wolcott
No problem. My cousins and I are also checking on Flord the son T C Wolcott and C C DeVore. I didn't know he existed. :-)
His birth date was the same. How strange.
Thx for your help.

Barbara, Attached Edwin's parents David and Caroline Wehr. Thanks for letting me know about them. It was Edwin's wife, Sadie Reed who was my great grand aunt, but if he is a g.grandparent or uncle etc and you would like him let me know. It was a merry chase to find his and Sadie's grave. Carrie C.

Fritzinger edits
I noticed that you have provided some more information for some of the Fritzinger memorials ... are you a family member? If so, I'd love to talk to you.

hi there
You and I had corresponded quite some time ago about Zehners. I'd told you about my great great grandma Salinda, and you'd shared some of your research with me. Tonight I was noodling around with Salinda again, and came across some online genealogy that differs from your 1st generation for the family. I'm not saying this person has it right; I only recall you were a serious researcher, and I thought you might want to see it for yourself in case it sparked any new thoughts or added to what you know. It's here.

Hi Barbara,

I updated the memorial with links. I was in the area visiting family and just went through all the cemeteries in the area and took pictures of all the memorials for family (immediate and distant). If you have anything to add, please let me know and I will update. The families in Saint Mary's in Lockport I took pictures of were: Fritton, Eggenweiler, Garlock, Gerlach, Laubacker, Rudd, and Emendorfer.

Correction of #88916015

This is in response to your suggestion that memorial #88916015 is a duplicate of #61963957 and must be deleted. Memorial #61963957 was created in error and is in the wrong cemetery.

Clinton County has two St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemeteries (Porter Township and Loganton Borough). A member evidently created a cemetery page and named it Pauls Lutheran Cemetery to avoid duplication of cemeteries. I created memorials for the burials in Pauls Cemetery, Porter Township, from the Clinton County Genealogical Society inventory of cemeteries in Lamar and Porter Townships.

The Find-A-Grave web administrator has been informed of the situation and was asked to change the name Pauls Lutheran to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran.

The map, information and memorials on the Pauls Lutheran Cemetery pages are correct, the name is in error.--Storres

Jack Lowe
David Kutz in Easton Heights
Hi Barbara,

From Jack Lowe in Punta Gorda Florida - born 1947 in Easton, parents John F. Lowe and Doris M. Kutz.

Found your email address in Findagrave...

I'm a big user and am constantly researching information about both sides of my family.

So, this morning I'm working on the Kutz family members that are buried in Easton and Easton Heights cemeteries. I was in Easton last summer and discovered grave sites for Kutz relatives, and I'm still putting all the all the pieces together...

I've determined that a headstone for David Kutz Sr. (Easton Cemetery) is actually my 3rd GGF.

And yesterday, I discovered David Kutz Jr is buried in Easton Heights Cemetery. I've never found much information about either of these cemeteries in Findagrave but much to my surprise this morning I found that you recently created entries for David and wife Louisa Kutz!

WOW, thanks so much for helping the ancestry research community by cataloging burials in two important but little documented locations.

David is buried in F-68 and I assume Louisa there too.

Next time you get to the cemetery, I would very much appreciate a picture of their headstones.

Regards... Jack

Re: Mary Jane Kutz Turner, Memorial# 59973493
Dear Barbara, I have added the links for Mary Turner's parents. I tried to look up the reference for the parents i.e. "source: her sister's (Mrs. Elmer Brown) obit, Reading Eagle newspaper (Reading, Pa) issue February 15, 1920, page 2." I found the Reading Eagle on Google News Archives, but could not locate the obit referenced above on this date and page. Could you check this reference again and let me know if I have the correct reference? Thanks

I added photos of the tombstone for Reuben and Rebecca Nothstein. Please note the dates are slightly different than yours. I don't know which are right.

Bill VanStone
William Hochadel site
Hello again,

I just snapped a few pics in Good Shepherd Cemetery in Niagara County, NY and the date for William Hochadel's death is shown as 1958. I belive this is the correct stone since it shows William and Christine, who has the correct dates.

Donna Ruhland Bonning
Hi again Barbara....

Just found this under under the Bear Ridge Cemetery description.

"Not to be confused with the 'other' Bear Ridge Cemetery that lies west of Campbell Boulevard, also on Bear Ridge Road (just north of Killian Road). That cemetery is considered the newer section of Saint Paul's Evangelical Protestant Reformed Church. The two Bear Ridge Road cemeteries have become very mixed up because they use the same AKA: Bear Ridge Cemetery."

Looks like they're basically in the same plot of land i suppose you could say. Just on different sides of the driveway. This makes it confusing!!! Looks like the one you sent is newer and because you found the obituary in the paper for them i'll be sure they make it to the right side of the driveway :).....I suppose the older one's are on the Church side. So maybe i should go through them and change the newer looking ones over to the Bear Ridge and leave the older one's on the church side....Confusing. I had this happen once before in Warsaw. They have the Warsaw Cemetery and just across the drive it's the Warsaw Pioneer. Very consusing. I hope i get things right. Maybe i should just delete all my entries. I don't have too many. It started raining when we got there and we were just driving around.....Maybe you have an opinion as to what i should do.......

Oh dear!

Richard Foulkes
Fred Harris' Gravestone
Hi! I had the opprotunity to return to Evergreen Cemetery on Friday and spent some time making sure there wasn't any marker for Fred as the office had said. Their lot maps have an Asterisk on those graves which have a marker on them. This section, Section 13 has very few and most are overgrown with grass. When I returned home I reviewed the map I used and realized I'd been in the wrong place. I had to start at the edge of the section and pace off the graves and then using a garden hoe remove the grasses from several stones before finding Mr. Harris's grave. I've added it to you memoerial for him. Sory it isn't the best but the stone was quite well buried and in a very wet area.
Best wishes,
