|Keith Meadows||RE: 170070679|
Thanks for the feedback. Talt's death certificate simply lists Bishop cemetery and he was in Lincoln Co. Do you know if there is another Bishop Cemetery in Lincoln Co./Cabell Co that hasn't been fully documented yet??
I noticed that you had added all of the names to that cemetery and suspected that was probably all there was there but by the time I finished last night I was too tired to ask.....
Thanks for your help!

See my memorial # 169844286, Thrasher-Short Cemetery, Roanoke, VA. Source from: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/roanoke/cemeteries/thrashort.txt.
I am confident we have the same deceased individual. Since my record is from transcription of the cemetery, Would you consider deleting your memorial # 144169944?
Also, my grandfather Wade Hampton Jeter, Find A Grave Memorial# 106404582, was first married to Maggie J. Aliff, Find A Grave Memorial# 151607800. Do you have any Aliff family records of her "cause of death at such a young age, in 1911? Any Aliff records would be appreciated.
Thank you and please email you reply to me at:

|Larry Fisher||buried in 3 cemeteries|
The headstone you publish for Lucinda Holstein is, I am pretty sure, the same Lucinda Jane Holstein 7 Jan 1869 - 19 Jan 1944 that is also listed with exact dates in both the Hensley Family Cemetery with her husband Isom and many of her kids as well as Ronda Cemetery both in Kanawha Co. Don't know how it happens but too many people are putting bio's etc on sites that are not verified. Both the above cemeteries have exact dates, kids, spouses and ancestors and even pictures of headstones just like yours. Might want to check it out and find out who is incorrect.

|dora osborne||Correction to family links|
Hi Doris. I saw that you had added information from my Grandparents and wanted to know if you might be able to edit. My Grandfather was Jack Jarrel Gillispie born 7/29/15 and my Grandmother was Myrtle Irene Martin born in 1916 and died 1981. She was remarried to Mr. Simmons in 1962 after my grandfather had passed away.
My Great Grandfather was Gilbert Gillispie who also married a Myrtle...But it was Myrtle Thaxton.
Currently Myrtle Irene Gillispie(Jack's wife) and Myrtle Thaxton are merged somehow. Myrtle Thaxton was Jacks mom and didn't re-marry to Mr. Simmons.
If you have more information, I'm still trying to piece together my family history and would love to have someone local in WV to help :) thanks so much!

|Angel Elizabeth||Carlisle Marcum|
Hello Doris, I am the great niece of Carlisle Marcum. My mother told me he had two sons, but she doesn't remember their names, and that they both died within an hour of their father, leaving their mother widowed and childless in one day. I have been unable to find any record of them anywhere. Do you know if by any chance they may have been buried with their father in unmarked graves? Thank you for the memorial, btw. Would you like a picture for the page, or would you like to give the page to me?

|Brian S. Miller||Elmer Ash - Ada Riley - America Hayes|
I saw your suggestions regarding Elmer Ash, Ada Riley and America Hayes. Yes, Elmer Ash was married to Carrie Woodburn. Elmer left her for Ada sometime after 1919. Ada's mother, America Hayes did marry Michael W. Deel, Andrew Brooks Deel's younder brother. Andrew was Ada's first husband. We believe that Ada's father was William W. Riley, even though we found a birth record for an Addie Riley to Marcellus and Eveline Riley. Marcellus was William's younger brother, but America Deel's will specifically states that America was Ada's mother. I appreciate the suggestions though, as this has been a tough nut to crack.

|Brenda Maynor||RE: Wright|
Thank you, Doris. I have felt that Caperton and Christina were probably related, but I could never find any record of how they were related. I've been searching, for a long time, for Caperton's parents, John Conrad Wright and Bettie Means. Only recently have I found anything that I think may be records of John and I found that information through the Keatleys. Caperton's wife was Harrietta Keatly and I found a John Wright family living in the same area as the Keatleys in the 1820 census in Monroe County. There were two adults and one male child the same age that Caperton would have been at that time and a female under the age of ten.
I also found a probate dated in 1858 in Mercer County for John Wright. Henry Gore and John Keatley signed the probate. Harrietta Keatley had a brother named John and her sister was married to Henry Gore.
Do you have an email address for Danny Wright?
Thanks again. Brenda

Doris, Hugh Caperton Wright and Harrietta Keatley Wright were my gr gr grandparents. Do you know why James H. Aliff was living with them in the 1880 census, and do you know how Caperton and Christina may have been related?
Wilson and Virginia Vass Wright were my great grandparents.

|Shane Shoaf||Lakin and Ruby Kincaid|
My name is Shane Shoaf and I am the great grandson of Lakin and Ruby Kincaid of Boone County, WV. My grandfather and I were looking at some of the pictures you posted of Lakin and his siblings.
My grandfather, Basil, was wondering where you came across the photos? He mentioned that his uncle George Aliff married Ruth Brooke Kincaid (Aliff) and I believe that would mean you and my grandfather share a common uncle.
Any insight would be much appreciated!

|Penny Harris||RE: Marriage record|
More and more I find women seem to have changed their names and ages at will back then. Her first name is definitely written as Maude (on her death record), and as Maudie (on her marriage record).
The real kicker is when you subtract her age at time of marriage (16) from the year of marriage (1903) you get 1887. The only female born in WV in 1887 (plus or minus 2 years) with the last name Say was a girl in Fayette County named Mary Say, daughter of James E Say and Sarah A Say. Since she went by Maude and Maudie, I think I'd stick with that. Pretty sure it's the same person; I didn't find a marriage or death record for Mary Say. Looks like you have James E Saye and his second wife Laura in the Peter's Cemetery at Dothan.
I suppose you could put Maudie's middle name as: B or D
then explain in the bio that it appears as D on her marriage record and B on her death record. Maybe even ask for input from any relatives viewing the memorial. I've had more success with that than I expected. Lots of ancestry.com researchers find and attach the memorials to their relatives.

|Jeanne Gillispie ||James Howard Harless|
There is another Memorial# 65768890 for this person that seems to have more accurate information. Although, it does say burial unknown. It is the one I have been using for my edits for my family.
Please advise if he is at this cemetery. However, please know, the dates of birth and death are incorrect. If this can be corrected and also do you have a memorial for his wife, Spicy Barker?
I will change my edits on my family to this one if he is truly interred in this cemetery.
