Dear Laurence,

Thank you so much for your quick response in taking the picture of the Headstone. The family really appreciates it. Can you please clarify, looking at the year of birth, the family was sure it was 1830, however I think the headstone says 1838.

Thanks again for your help.

Regards,
Paula

I meant to thank you right away but then forgot somehow. I've been sick and I think it has added to my brain fog!

RE: Marcia Whalen
Hi Laurence, I went in to request a photo of John Henry Whalen's stone but Marcia's is on his name. I'm not sure but I think you need to remove it since you put it there? If not, please let me know. Thanks so much!

RE: Marcia Whalen
Hi Laurence, I really can't thank you enough. Marcia's stone is beautiful! I am afraid I was not too kind when talking to the cemetery folks. Good heavens, the family paid for the stones!
I entered some more information for some folks that died 1918 and before. I am wondering if I could bother you for a few more photos. The office did tell me there are all in the same area.
I will put in a photo request.
Again, thank you. This Whalen family has proved to be quite elusive!

Marcia Whalen
Dear Laurance, I called Woodlawn this morning to ask for the plot information, etc. and they wouldn't give it to me saying no one can take photos! How did you do this? You are amazing!
Would you mind my asking if you are related to the Whalen's? My husband's parents lost touch with Arthur Whalen, a grandson of Marcia and John H. Whalen in the early 1940's.
Thank you so much! Now I am wondering if John H. Whalen's memorial was nearby. I will put his information on the site as I just now found out his death date.
Again, thank you, this is a beautiful stone.
