Thank you for transferring Amanda Gardner # 28512170
to 47074880

Added by Babydoe on Aug 23, 2014 7:09 AM

Charles Gardner is his first and middlename, lastname Reiersen. He used the Gardnername as lastname in the US. He is not related to any older Gardners.

Not a problem - duplicates happen to all of us, me included. Thanks for your commitment to keeping the database in order.

Just an FYI to let you know that there is an earlier memorial dated 2005 for the same individual. Any action is up to you.

RE: Sarah Gardner
Hello Laurence,

Thank you very much for your kind response. I would greatly appreciate it if you would transfer ownership of Daniel and Sarah Gardner to me.

The internet has been such a help with genealogical work. The Gardners in my tree came from Brazil (Portuguese and British originally) Daniel is the brother of my great, great, grandmother. They moved to England and then to New York. Perhaps they are related further back???

I am very interested in genealogy. We've had documented family trees for years for parts of the family. Several years ago I started on to integrate the family trees and fill in any blanks that I could. I appreciate your suggestions. You've been a big help and I really appreciate it.

Thank you very much,
Carlotta Draper

RE: Sarah Ripley Draper Gardner
Thank you for response.

Ripley was Sarah's mother's maiden nam and Sarah's midde name. Draper was Sarah's maiden name. She was the sister of the scientist & author, John William Draper. He was my great, great grandfather. If you have any other questions, I am quite active on and would be happy to fill in any blanks that I can. I'm glad to know where Sarah and her husband Daniel are buried

Thank you very much,

Excellent. Thank you. The person who requested the photo has already gone ahead and created a duplicate page. I told him about YOUR page. I think he'll take his down now. Thanks again.

I've updated the caption for the photo on the memorial page for Alice Burns (memorial #28478116). The surname for "James" and "Christina" on the upright stone is "Spearing."
James (ca 1814 Ireland-1876 NYC), stonemason. Christina (ca 1814 Scotland - 1881 NYC).

I don't know who is under the flat stone. The cemetery staff will know.

Charles is my 2gg uncle. I am a descendant of his sister Cecelia who married Charles Carroll Leighton who is also on the same gravestone.

There is a grave marker at Antietam National Cemetery for Charles C Babcock. Find A Grave #39223413

You are more than welcome. I truly love to find information to add to memorial sites. People lived lives so rich with such great stories to tell. As their stones get covered with moss, and families die off, FindaGrave is at least one way we can keep those memories alive.
Best wishes to you,
Alice Nelson of Herron island, Washington state
