Edward A Black, Sr
John S Hawkins
My wife, Ruth (Hawkins) Black's Great(3)- grandfather was John S Hawkins with his 1st wife, Amanda F, Waugh.

I found that after the Civil War he apparently left (divorced?) Amanda & married Marie Bernice St Gadian of Louisiana, with whom he had 5 children (Alfred ., John T, Alfred P, Roderick P, & Berice Marie)

The 1900 Census revealed a 3rd wife (Mary A. of Georgia), where he had a daughter, Myrtle born in Nov 1873 in Louisiana. This 3rd wife had been married 33 years in the 1900 Census (married around 1867 I would assume).

Since his 2nd wife died in 1976,had he divorced Marie Bernice to marry Mary A.?

Bob
I was wondering if I can get your permission to use the gravestone photos of Walter, Mary and Donald Sherman in my Mudd family book! They will not be published. It is the history of the family and a scrape book of pictures and information.
Thank you!

Alice Kirkman Sorrels # 55318180
Bob,

There are 2 memorials for her, yours created in 2008 and # 12675991 created in 2005 for Alice Ricketts.

I accidently found this when linking her to an uncle she was married to, John L Ricketts. This 2nd memorial has a photo of her headstone.

Thank you the attention in this matter.

Sue

Noticing that you share her last name. Was wondering if you could verify that she was married firstly to a Charles Clement Riggs? I've seen her marriage cert for her 2nd marriage, but she is one of those awesome women of the time that went back to her maiden name and so I can't tell if she was at one time a Riggs. I am actually working Charles Rigss.

Hello there
I am doing the entire Wheeling Twp cemetery.

Are you sure the picture that you have up was taken at our cemetery.
We have no Hawkins on our list and I do not remember seeing any Hawkins. My great grandfather was a Hawkins so I would likely remember seeing that.

Thanks

Hi Bob, I'm not positive but I think the birth of Edward Hendricks was Harrison County, Ohio, and not Iowa, correct? He is not a relative of mine, just noticed the differnce.

Maybe clicked the wrong button? If I'm wrong Im sorry to bother you-

Bob,

My family tree indicates that Asa (50948959) was married to Reba Merle Goldsmith, but I donot have any further information on her or their family. It appears that you are related to Asa and I was wondering if you might have further information.

Thanks a million for your help.

Nancy Hendricks - Shiloh Cemetery
Thanks for the Hendricks posting in Shiloh Cemetery. I have been researching Andrew and Mary Ann (McAfee) Hendricks and was delighted to see the picture of Andrew's tombstone.
Would like to see you correct the birthplace of Nancy to Harrison County, Indiana - the 1850 Census of Indiana she is listed as a 1 year old in the family. The family moved to Harrison County from Pennsylvania before 1920 and left after 1850.
Best wishes.
