RE: James Loudermilk Parents
I had Worley also until I found North Carolina marriage records on Ancestry.com. It lists her name as Davis. I think I got Worley from someone else's tree which was apparently incorrect.

Isaac Alexander Cox
Question on his birthdate.

By accident I visited the Richardson Cemetery in Whitley County yesterday. I was searching for the John Parker Cemetary but did not find it.
I took pictures of all the graves and Issac stone
really stood out to me. I read the birthdate as
Oct. 14th, 1865, not Oct. 4th. Can you point me to any information that would confirm the birthdate? Thanks for any assistance.

Alexander Cox
Born Oct. 5th, 1964

Sandy Hicks Mullins
Families
Boy we may have a lot connections. Check my name I am Mullins by marriage and blood 7 generations or so. Chasteens married Mullins so there also. Holt is a sore point blocked but have a cousin in my Hicks line who has Holts in her line and I hope someday to find the link. The Holt farm Cemetery interests me, I have learned the around about way through kids and grandkids is sometimes the solution, Found James O, while looking for 1860 census for his mom, (back door through him) found his burial and one or 2 that may be siblings. I will send you additional info on James and any others I have, I love to have everybody linked. If you look Michael Allen Mullins on my page and track him back you will see what I have gotten done there, back in time. Who in the Mullins line do you descend from? Post a few names on my page, It is amazing when you look at the names and how many times family lines cross,

Sandy

RE: Thank You
Yes that is him. He lost it in the coal mines. In a mining accident. He dropped his glove and when he went to pick it up a coal cart ran his arm over. I made a page for him if you want to link him, and I've added pictures of Chet and his wife Clara

I checked with my uncle and he did not have any pictures of Sabie's mom or dad. I will keep checking. I have several of my grandmother Marie and her mom Sabie but none of anyone before them.

RE: Smith Family
Good to hear from you. Sorry I have taken so long in replying. I've been kind of idle on here for the past few months. I just check my messages today. Marie was my grandmother. I lived right beside her but I was just under 3 when she passed away so I don't remember very much about her. I don't have any pics of Sabie's parents but I will check with some of my relatives and try to locate some for you. I have an uncle (Hershell Ritchie) who may have some. Have you traced that side of the tree back very far? If so I would love to have the info.

I took care of linking the parents to Sabie Smith. If she is your family member would you like me to transfer the memorial to you? Sandra

No, sorry I'm not sure. I believe her to be the child of James & Sarah but I haven't proven it.

RE: ruthann mccarty
There must have been some reason that you looked at the "McCarty's", so where did you come up with that sir name? Also, back in those days, a good many babies were adopted out thru local doctors. (A girl would be pregnant and under a doctor's care and he would know of a couple that wanted a baby, etc.) You should look for a connection between the mother and a relative, especially if the mother lived in another state; she might have settled around here because she knew of someone or been related to them. Once a mother, back then, gave up a child all connections to the baby were permanently severed. This will be a difficult task for you and I shall keep a watchful eye out and let you know if something comes up.

I have tried researching her mother. Do you know the circumstances in regard to the McCarty's adopting Ruthann? And, if not, how did you find Ruthann? The sir names mentioned in the father's site aren't at all familiar to me. Still looking for you, Catie and Will

I am so pleased that we were able to help. It is a blessing to find family, even though they are deceased. Are her biological parents deceased? If so, would you like to add them to her site? Sincerely, Catie and Will

RE: Ruthann McCarty
The Tipton Tribune. It was dated either the day of her death or the next day. Go to the Tipton county Library site and then into the genealogy section. It is sort of self explanatory. I entered most of the obit - left a little out (when it described their deaths, etc.) If you need more help, let me know. Are you related?
