Martha:
ah - the lack of a comma !
I was asking about his wife's parents - but I can see my comment doesn't read that way.
You gave me the wife's maiden name - that connects her to the Clarke family here in Hollywood.
Thanks for your reply - guess I need to check my punctuation !

Hi Martha,
I think you are right about it being this cemetery. I can't recall a nearby church but there probably was one. I tried to get pictures of the whole cemetery but apparently that is harder than it sounds because I also miss some. My apologies.
I am very familiar with Barbourville. Seems lots of folks worked away from home in Harlan in those days.
Let me take a quikc look at John Burns. I am happy to update the memorials.
Thanks for writing.
Cheers,
April

I have Elizabeth Ford as married to Ford15193773
I got an edit request from you that said to change maiden name to Ford. Just wanted to make sure that was what you meant - that her name would be Elizabeth Ford Ford. Thanks!

RE: Lydia Bornick
I don't have a copy of Lydia's obituary. Her son, Lester's, obituary is at

http://www.wachholzandsons.com/wachholzandsons/page.asp?p=obitviewdetail&obiid=259

As far as the spelling of the last name goes, I would suggest you make a note in the bio that indicates that the name has multiple spellings. Families frequently spelled the family name in a variety of ways. Here's a link to a memorial where I made a note of multiple spellings.

I am not related. Thanks for making the updates and the links.

I found Lee. Next to him is PFC James McCormick. From the date I'm guessing a brother? No other McCormicks nearby.

Sorry, but he either doesn't have a gravestone or it could be one that is overturned and unreadable.

I notice that the obituary you posted is still at his memorial. Please remove. Also, when you posted it, you posted it as a grave marker so the request for the photo of his marker was fulfilled and I have had to do another. These actions are most inconsiderate.

RE: Photos of Rea Elizabeth Guy
I had names back as far as Jacob Cupp and Sibitha Breeding. Not much else. I lost all my genealogy records a year or so ago and started over. This time I wanted to fill in the gaps, add as many pictures and stories as possible. I have done a separate bio on a special person here or there and Sam Harper is one I am about to start. I grew up playing at my Grandmother Guy and G Grandfather Wm.Gordon's home, in his bedroom. He listened to baseball games on an old radio that sat on a library table and you could hear the cars pass downstairs on the brick streets of Atchison, Ks. I played with the family pictures. Can remember a picture of several men with long handled mustaches at the end of a street, like an old western town. Probably Sam. I am still looking for those old pictures. I lost an uncle and two aunts on my father's side of the family as well as my father within 9 months of each other about two years ago and inherited boxes of pictures and memorabilia. I could tell you so many stories and have mega notebooks of pictures. Right now I need help on Sam. He had three wives. He married the third wife when he was about 70 and they had several children before she died, but only Mina Rea grew up. I see a lot of conflicting information from other trees on line. A couple have her marrying three times and the last marriage being to Sam's grandson Homer Jackson Moore by his wife Elizabeth. So far my information doesn't match, so time to go to work. My tree is Family Tree and I would be glad to share it with you. Do you have ancestry? I can send you my genealogy through them.
