Sabra BARTON Gardner

I have submitted an edit to Sabra's parents. I believe the current links are incorrect. The most obvious reason is that the birth dates of her current parents links. Father born in 1846 Mother 1856 and Sabra with a birth date of 1852. I had seen this citation about a year ago and thought it incorrect but had not done any homework to say otherwise.

Based on a question someone on Ancestry had asked regarding the Iowa Gardner's, I did some looking.

When I looked for the parents in her current links Whitney B(a)rton and Louisa Burton. Whitney showed up in Otsego Co NY from 1850 on to 1900+. He was not married until after 1880 and shows up in 1900 as a widow, and Louisa does not show till 1910.

Also Whitney is shown as a Barton only in 1850 and that entry was 'corrected' to show it a 'Burton'.

I'd appreciate your consideration of the edit I submitted.

Just a slight correction. Her age should read 85 +, not 35 +.

Hi! I am new to the find a grave family! I can't wait to get started! I was hoping that you would be able to help me with the address and directions of the French Church Cemetery in Woolstock, Iowa. I have a friend with family buried there and would love to visit the cemetery when she gets to Iowa. Thanks so much for your time and commitment to find a grave! Brenda Clark

Thank you for the information. Are you related?

Added by JIM on Jul 11, 2012 1:19 PM

Am I correct in assuming that your maiden name was Sweet? If so, we may be related, as the Sweet name comes up quite often in my family tree.

In any case, I'm going crazy trying to figure out what happened to my Great Grandmother. I know she died young, but can't seem to find out anything about her. Her name was Rosa Smith Bowman, and her mother was Fidelia Electa Partridge.

Are you connected to the Partridge family? I've identified a couple of graves in the family, but can't find Fidelia's grave, or Rosa Smith Bowman (her husband was Thomas Reisinger Bowman (or Bouman). As far as I know they would have been in Cass County. My grandmother (Rosa Smith Bowman's daughter, Flora Bowman)married John Bicking...also from Cass County.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

wildin grave in woolstock cem, Iowa
First I want to thank you so very very much for the pictures-I accidentily stumbled upon them & was totally thrilled to see them.

The Wildins are my gggparents & I have been trying to research them.

My question is, there appears to be a headstone close on either side of the Wildin stone are these also a Wildin?? or do you remember the names?

Thank you so very much. Marguerite

RE: McKracken
Cindi, I will do my best to keep the memorial updated. That area of Kansas is beautiful, I can certainly see why families settled there. Thanks so much, Mitzi

RE: Hannah Louisa Dowden Carrell Stanberry
It is done, but next time please do me a favor and use the Suggest a Correction in the Edit menu. I get confused easily and almost put the wrong lady with this husband. Thanks so much!
