Hi Linda,

Wondering if you are the one who did the write-up on this cemetery? Looking for information on who the four Rev. War veterans buried there are.

I am writing to ask your permission to copy the pictures of the headstones for Dr. Silas Allen his wife and cildren. I am researching the Fuller family tree and the Allen family is distantly related to my wife.
I would like to copy them to my computer genealogy program, they will not be posted anywhere on the net and the pics will be attributed to you.
Once I "complete" the genealogy, I plan to donae a copy to the NS Public Archives and the Kings County Historical Society (as well as printing copies for relatives).
Thanks! Randy Harrison, Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada

Debra Rosenbloom
Friesner Cemetery
Hello,

Do you know how to contact the people who own the land, and probably, the Friesner Cemetery? I was just there, and went down the long land, and knocked on the door, and no one answered. I would like to know how to get the cemetery restored, but, I need to know if the cemetery is considered private property now, and who to contact. Thank you for all you do, as this is a great and helpful hobby. I am also DAR, and have joined through my Ancestor in Fairfield County Ohio.

Rachel Keller
Refugee Cemetery
Linda: Have you ever seen the offical records for Refugee Cemetery where the Seevers are buried? My personal records state Elizabeth and Peter Seever are buried here with no stones, but I do not know where I in fact got that information. Are two of their daughters Catherine and Martha buried here and not noted..A recent couple of photo's have been sent to me...that I believe might be the two daughters and they are buried between Archibald and Mahala and the stones appear to be too old to be Elizabeth and Peter. Do you know anyone at this cemetery or should I try calling the number on the board posted at the cemetery.? Any thoughts?

George McCormick
Bethel Cemetery, Fairfield County
My great-great-great grandfather James McCormick is buried in Bethel Cemetery along with his secondd wife. It appears there are many Scotch-Irish buried here. I have been looking for the grave for his father William who was a Revolutionary War veteran and lived on the same farm that James inherited from him. Do you know what kind of records the cemetery has and who has them? Are they complete or could there be persons buried with no records? Also was sthere a church here originally and was it a Prebyterian one? Would be interested in what you can tell me.

RE: Helena Paul DeVore family photos
Hi Linda!

I just realized that you live in Lancaster, Ohio ... we were there last fall to visit the family home of General William Tecumseh Sherman as my husband is his fifth cousin, four times removed!! William's brother, Hoyt Sherman, settled in Des Moines, Iowa, where we now live! Hoyt is their mother's maiden surname as well as my husband's surname.

Small world, isn't it??

I will send the Paul family photos to you as soon as I can.

Take care ...

Toni Smith Hoyt

Hi Linda! I wanted to let you know that I have returned home from vacation and have found the photos of Helena's family that I previously told you about. I would love to share them with you but would prefer not to do so publicly. Is there an alternate e-mail address where I can contact you? Thank you ... ... ... Toni Smith Hoyt

RE: Helena Paul DeVore
Hi Linda!

Thank you for your reply. So nice to find more relatives!

I DO have additional photos of Helena's family (I believe I have a photo of each of her brothers and sisters with some spouses, as well as Helena's parents, Christian and Elizabeth) and will gladly share them with you as soon as I have the time to gather them together ... I am busy preparing to leave for a two week trip to visit family in Maine but will make a note to send you the photos as soon as I return.

Take care ...

Toni

Helena Paul DeVore
Hi Linda ~

I was adding information from Ancestry.com to my family tree and came across your addition of the DeVore family to Find-A-Grave and was wondering if you are a relative to this family.

Helena Paul DeVore is a sister to my great-grandmother, Mary Ann Paul Gnau (one of the sisters mentioned in Helena's obituary).

I am a native of Springfield, Ohio and have walked St. Bernard Cemetery many, many times and taken my own photos of the graves of the DeVore's, but I do thank you so much for the personal photos of the family!

I would very much like to hear from you if you are indeed a relative.

Thank you ...

Linda Lacy
Beck Stone
Hi Linda,

I know you do a lot of work around the Fairfield Co. cemeteries. Can you help me? I am looking for John and Alice Beck. I have a couple of John's obits and one says his funeral was at the the Emanuel Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery..the other says the funeral will be at the Zeigler Church in Pleasant Township. I would like to set up a memorial and request a photo of the stones but I am at a loss to which cemetery to make the memorial in.

Thanks
Linda Beck Lacy

RE: Susannah Laramore
Thank-you! I am trying to sort these Larimer's out to see how I am related to all of them. I noticed on Isaac Larimer, Sr. memorial he was born in 1771 and his first child was born in 1779. I tried to contact the person that made the memorial through the edit button but I can't. Do you know her or how to get hold of her? I did fulfill a request for her today but have not heard from her yet.

Lucile Phares Cobb
E.W. & Elias W. Shelhamer in Bethel Cemetery
Hi Linda, I am wondering about these two headstones, are they the same person even though the death dates posted are different, the very old one with Elias W. Shelhamer 49773788 has the same number of years : 60y, 5m, 23d, as E.W. Shelhamer 49773631 which is a newer looking headstone. I cannot make out all the words and numbers on the old headstone for Elias even though your picture is clear. I would like to know if you are going back to Bethel would you be able to double check the death date on the old one since I cannot see it?? Do you spray with water or chalk to be able to read the old stones? On the tall stone I magnified it and could read Margaret Shelhamer on the left side of stone, she & E.W. are my 3rd great grandprents. Thank you again for all your time and efforts to preserve these stones with pictures. It is wonderful.
