 | RE: Helena Paul DeVore family photos Hi Linda!
I just realized that you live in Lancaster, Ohio ... we were there last fall to visit the family home of General William Tecumseh Sherman as my husband is his fifth cousin, four times removed!! William's brother, Hoyt Sherman, settled in Des Moines, Iowa, where we now live! Hoyt is their mother's maiden surname as well as my husband's surname.
Small world, isn't it??
I will send the Paul family photos to you as soon as I can.
Take care ...

 | Helena Paul DeVore family photos Hi Linda! I wanted to let you know that I have returned home from vacation and have found the photos of Helena's family that I previously told you about. I would love to share them with you but would prefer not to do so publicly. Is there an alternate e-mail address where I can contact you? Thank you ... ... ... | RE: Helena Paul DeVore Hi Linda!
Thank you for your reply. So nice to find more relatives!
I DO have additional photos of Helena's family (I believe I have a photo of each of her brothers and sisters with some spouses, as well as Helena's parents, Christian and Elizabeth) and will gladly share them with you as soon as I have the time to gather them together ... I am busy preparing to leave for a two week trip to visit family in Maine but will make a note to send you the photos as soon as I return.
Take care ...

 | Helena Paul DeVore Hi Linda ~
I was adding information from Ancestry.com to my family tree and came across your addition of the DeVore family to Find-A-Grave and was wondering if you are a relative to this family.
Helena Paul DeVore is a sister to my great-grandmother, Mary Ann Paul Gnau (one of the sisters mentioned in Helena's obituary).
I am a native of Springfield, Ohio and have walked St. Bernard Cemetery many, many times and taken my own photos of the graves of the DeVore's, but I do thank you so much for the personal photos of the family!
I would very much like to hear from you if you are indeed a relative.
Thank you ...

 | Beck Stone Hi Linda,
I know you do a lot of work around the Fairfield Co. cemeteries. Can you help me? I am looking for John and Alice Beck. I have a couple of John's obits and one says his funeral was at the the Emanuel Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery..the other says the funeral will be at the Zeigler Church in Pleasant Township. I would like to set up a memorial and request a photo of the stones but I am at a loss to which cemetery to make the memorial in.
Thanks Linda Beck LacyAdded by Linda Lacy on Mar 27, 2013 8:22 PM | |

 | RE: Susannah Laramore Thank-you! I am trying to sort these Larimer's out to see how I am related to all of them. I noticed on Isaac Larimer, Sr. memorial he was born in 1771 and his first child was born in 1779. I tried to contact the person that made the memorial through the edit button but I can't. Do you know her or how to get hold of her? I did fulfill a request for her today but have not heard from her yet.Added by Brenda Sunday on Mar 20, 2013 9:01 PM | |

 | E.W. & Elias W. Shelhamer in Bethel Cemetery Hi Linda, I am wondering about these two headstones, are they the same person even though the death dates posted are different, the very old one with Elias W. Shelhamer 49773788 has the same number of years : 60y, 5m, 23d, as E.W. Shelhamer 49773631 which is a newer looking headstone. I cannot make out all the words and numbers on the old headstone for Elias even though your picture is clear. I would like to know if you are going back to Bethel would you be able to double check the death date on the old one since I cannot see it?? Do you spray with water or chalk to be able to read the old stones? On the tall stone I magnified it and could read Margaret Shelhamer on the left side of stone, she & E.W. are my 3rd great grandprents. Thank you again for all your time and efforts to preserve these stones with pictures. It is wonderful.

 | Isaiah Hall family in Collins Cemetery The two children, Ulysses and Simon are the children of Isaiah's first wife, Lydia J Fries. She is probably buried in this cemetery too. Are there burial records? She died probably soon after Simon died. Isaiah married Lydia Sherburn Myers on 28 Mar 1872. He married Lydia Fries/Freeze on 14 Nov 1850 in Fairfield.Added by Cherri Lusk on Mar 05, 2013 10:05 PM | |
