Thank you for transfer
Thanks so much for transferring my grandmother's memorial (Cecilia Otey Harmon) to me. I especially appreciate the plot map - I hope to go visit her next time I am in Roanoke, and this will help a great deal.

Laurie Allison
Elizabeth Spurlock Ellison Payne
Thank you for posting the grave stone images for Elizabeth (Eliza) Spurlock Ellison Payne. I believe she is my husband's great grandmother through her first husband. In the 1870 census a John Allison is listed as James Payne's stepson. John was born about 1862. We believe his father's name was an F. Allison (Ellison). Possibly Franklin. Suspect that he died between 1862 and 1869 or they divorced. Cannot find a record of marriage or death. Suspect that F Allison's father was John West Allison. If you or anyone out there can help solve my Allison road block I would really appreciate it. If any of Jame's and Elizabeth's family members know anything about John Allison - step brother to the Payne children I would love to hear it.

Link Memorials
Could you possible link Memorial 32468503 (Wade I Rowles) and Memorial 32468580 (Elizabeth A "Lizzie" Rowles). They were husband and wife. Also, Wade's Memorial should be linked to Guy Edmond Rowles, Memorial # 32468273 because they were brothers. Guy's Memorial should be linked to Estelle Morefield Rowles, Memorial 14417540 as she was Guy's wife. Guy was a POW during WWII.

Woolsey
Hi Theresa,

That was James Zepheniam Woolsey. I left a photo of his inscription also. I don't know how they were related but those were the only two inscriptions on that four sided spire-type headstone.

RE: Henry McLeroy
I have family records where research was done about the property and the location of the graves. James McConnell who is one of our cousins (and unfortunately deceased) had years and years worth of data on the mcLeroy's prior to the internet. He was a certified genealogist who has written several publications, some of which are at the Atlanta Historical Society and some in the middle Georgia Library in Macon. My mother and my aunt were in touch with him and that is where I got my information. There is a lot more I don't have that one day I'll make it to the Atlanta History Center or to Macon with my trusty scanner! Jane

I've corrected the link for her spouse. Do you know where she's buried? The person who originally created the memorial didn't know her burial site. Transfer is on its way to you.

Duplicates
TJ,
Duplicates are the newer memorials. In this case, mine is the original and the other one needs deleted because it should never have been created.

RE: Grace Bayard
Parts of my family have been living in Rome, ever since Dr. Robert Battey lived and practiced there. More recently, the Daniel side of the family owned a mortuary and a print shop in town. The last time I was in Rome, GA, the Romulus & Remus statue was in front of the fire house. I understand it's been moved to the front of City Hall?

To answer your question, I was at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery once, about 50 years ago. I have over 38 relatives that died in Rome, and 42 that are interred at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for all the photos you've provided for me. Just one teeny, tiny, request. In the future, could you maybe clear the headstone of dubree, so the dates and names can be clearly read? I wish I could put out a global request, it happens alot. Thanks again!
