Artimetia Leake Loftis 23357902
Just wondering if you are part of this family. If so, would love to compare notes and maybe link some more family members together on here.

James Powell Loftis
Find A Grave Memorial# 23357912

and Artimetia Leake # 23357902

Her father is John Leak
Find A Grave Memorial# 71480931
John's father, Samuel Leake Sr. is brother to my 4th ggrandfather Rev. William Leake, Jr., sons of William and Providence Bryant Leake of Laurens Co.,SC.

I just wanted to let you know that I've sent an edit request to Artimetia's contributor to link her to her father, John Leak.

Just checked the kinship report and it says she and I are 2nd cousins three times removed.

Thank you and God bless,
Linda Leake Amerson

Do you by chance know if the other Samuel Eley is actually buried at Brinson? I think this is the only one I found but don't know for sure and will go look again. Thanks for the correction.

WHITE-MITCHELL
HI, BRADLEY
I AM DESCENDED THROUGH THE WHITES BY 2 BROTHERS ABDA AND DAVID. THEY WOULD BE VICTORIA'S FATHERS YOUNGER BROTHERS. ABDA IS MY G G GRANDFATHER AND DAVID IS MY G G G GRANDFATHER. I KNOW THIS IS CONFUSING. I SUSPECT FRANCES MITCHELL WHITE IS BURIED IN THE MITCHELL FAMILY GRAVEYARD IN AN UNMARKED GRAVE IN HENRY OR ROCKDALE CO. GA. SHE DIED ON 11 OCTOBER 1836 IN HENRY CO GA. HER BROTHER ISAAC GREEN MITCHELL AND HIS WIFE MARY ANN DUDLEY ARE BURIED THERE ALONG WITH HER PARENTS WILLIAM AND ELEANOR THOMASSON MITCHELL, ALSO IN UNMARKED GRAVES. MY G G AUNT EMILY WHITE MITCHELL AND HER HUSBAND WILLIAM ALEXANDER MITCHELL ARE BURIED THERE WITH TOMBSTONES. EMILY WAS THE D/O ABDA AND MARY ANN BRADBERRY WHITE. WILLIAM ALEXANDER MITCHELL WAS THE S/O ISAAC GREEN AND MARY ANN DUDLEY MITCHELL. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL WHITES THAT MARRIED IN THE MITCHELL LINE. TWO OF THEM WE CAN'T FIND A CONNECTION. DAVID WHITE MARRIED KESSIAH OR KIZZY MITCHELL, AND ELIZABETH WHITE MARRIED JAMES TOLEN MITCHELL. DAVID AND ELIZABETH WERE ALSO SIBLINGS OF ANDERSON AND ABDA AND TO ABOUT 7 OTHERS. ABDA WHITE IS BURIED IN THE MT. CARMEL CEMETERY NEAR TEMPLE CARROLL CO. GA. AND HIS BROTHER TERRELL WHITE WHO WAS THE YOUNGEST CHILD IS BURIED AT THE POPLAR SPRINGS BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY IN HARALSON CO. GA. THESE TWO COUNTIES JOIN EACH OTHER. THIS IS THE COUNTY I LIVE IN.
AS TO FRANCES'S FATHER ANDERSON I DO NOT KNOW WHERE HE IS BURIED PROBABLY IN ALABAMA. IN 1830 HE WAS IN MADISON CO. GA., IN 1840 HENRY CO. GA., IN 1850 TALLAPOOSA. CO AL. AND IN 1860 ST. CLAIR CO. AL. HE AND HIS 2ND WIFE HAD 12 CHILDREN THE FIRST SIX WERE BORN IN GA. AND THE LAST SIS WERE BORN IN AL.
DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON VICTORIA'S TWO BROTHERS DAVID MARION AND WILLIAM ANDERSON AND ALSO WHERE HER TWO HUSBANDS ARE BURIED. I FOUND AN ALLEN M, MCDOUGAL BURIED IN HAMILTON CO. TN. IN THE CHATTANOOGA NATIONAL CEMETERY. HIS BIRTH DATE WAS UNKNOWN AND HIS DEATH DATE WAS 18 SEPT. 1866.
WE HAVE A BIRTH AND DEATH DATE FOR HIM IN OUR FAMILY HISTORY. HE WAS BORN JAN. 11, 1811 IN NC AND DIED AUG 22, 1866. THESE TWO DEATH DATES ARE VERY SIMILAR. WELL I BETTER STOP RAMBLING.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME.

BEST WISHES,
PATSY BOLLEN

Hi I want to thank you for the photo of Aloma Whigham's headstone. I have requested the photo for James and William as well today and was wondering if you happened to find William's as well. I can see James' is a double with Aloma and hope that you might attach the photo to his page as well. I am grateful for the time you took out of your day to fill my request,

Jasper George Spooner
Hey Bradley! I stumbled across Jasper G Spooner's grave in Olive Grove yesterday while taking some other pictures. He was married to Julia M Armistead, the sister of my great grandmother, Susie Armistead Houston. I think we had discussed not being able to find him and wondered where he was. The grave is located by 285 about the fourth grave from the woods. I posted it on Find A Grave. Kim

Louise Godby
Bradley,
I don't think you are connecting to the correct "Louise". I suspect this is Pope Godby's wife. Contact Marilyn and she can tell you. Or take a trip to the cemetery and check for Louise, wife of Archie. I added Archie to Gail and Joe but didn't add Louise. Let me know when you find out and I will add it.

RE: Collier cemetery, Early County
Bradley,

Regretfully I don't have a map either. I found the only solid reference to the cemetery in a copy of the Cemetery Index for Early County, 1960 which was on file in the Clerk's office, Early County Courthouse.

The copy was shown on page 341 of "Collections of Early County Historical Society 1979, Volume 2". I live in Texas and have not been to the Early County courthouse to see if the Clerk has any more information.

The cemetery is also noted on the USGS Geographic Names Information System (GNIS), but only with a reference to a 1999 USGenWeb - Data received from a state coordinator or from a state web page.

My mother's grandmother was a Collier who was born in Blakely, Early County, GA in 1847 and later moved to east Texas. Some of her relatives are buried in the Collier Family Cemetery.

If you are ever in Blakely maybe the county clerk could be of some help locating the Collier Family Cemetery.

Thanks for your inquiry.

Turner Lewis
