RE: Wilma English Pruitt
I know that already; however, the information is not factual. My aunt was born in Giles Co., TN. My cousin, Linda, I'm sure - simply doesn't know where her mom was born.

I'm a closer relation to my aunt than you are. She's a project to you. I requested a transfer but it isn't possible since it was already transferred to you.

Accept my apology for being rude but you can't change history. All you have to do is retrieve a copy of her birth certificate from Giles Co., TN.

Why not get a birth certificate and verify my aunt was born in Pulaski, Giles Co., TN to my grandparents...........she was born Wilma Jean Angus. Please get the facts. You can't post everything especially if it's not correct. I'm sorry you knew nothing about Mr. Pruitt. He was your relative. Those two people had a lot to hide.

Do you do Facebook? I made a page on there for Milton Cemetery.

On the subject of copyrights a couple posts down, copyright is vested in the CREATOR of the material in question.

If a family member drafts an obit, that family member (not the newspaper or funeral home) owns the copyright.

Obituary photos are almost always provided by family members, and any copyright interest is vested in the person who originally TOOK the photograph.

RE: John Dudley Watson
Someone added Andrea's (actually, Andria Lee Watson) to Find-a-Grave a couple months ago. It's in Woodland Hill Cemetery but likely in a different location, wasn't in my notes & photographs of family graves.

His father John Thomas Watson (WW II flight instructor) died in 2014, buried in Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis.

Once everyone is linked up there should be 6 generations connected, earliest 3 being in Star Hope Cemetery south of Elsberry.

Thanks much for the note.

RE: Willa Dean Ford Walker
Thank you.

I had already asked a close friend about that, who's an attorney. She said Implied Consent covers obits and obit photos and the information is readily available to anyone already and due to the fact that nobody profits off of the information. Like the Disney situation you mentioned. I feel like it's very important information for future descendants.

Luther Hughart Find A Grave Memorial# 89508074
Hi Debbi,
I believe that the birthdate for Luther Hughart is incorrect. I submitted an edit to Find A Grave, but wanted to support the reason for it.

In his World War I draft registration he gives his birthdate as 12 July 1879.

He was with Joseph Hughart and Adelia in the 1880 census as age either 10/12 or 11/12 (months)-it is hard to tell whether it is a 10 or 11. This would make his birth year 1879.

In the 1900 census he is with Frank A. Ainsworth and Weltha A. Ainsworth, listed as a son, his birthdate is given as July 1879.

Thanks for your work with Find A Grave!

Jimmie Prosser

Little Jimmie (James Albert Prosser) was my 1st cousin and has nothing to do with Clendon Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt was not his dad. Please don't make Little Jimmie a part of your special project.

Please retract your request for a transfer.

Clendon Pruitt
I'm so sorry. He was always referred to me as "Mike." I never met him. I never knew there was a Clendon Pruitt until Aunt Wilma was in a nursing home and the name "Pruitt" was on the door. That was in 2004. I always thought her last husband was Uncle Joe and never even knew they were not married.

If Clendon was married to his 1st wife at least 10 yrs., Social Security benefits may be a reason..........and VA benefits..........

I walk a straight line myself. You can e-mail me directly at

Aunt Wilma actually had a total of six children. Little Jimmie is buried in Willow Mount Cemetery in Bedford Co., TN. He was drug to death by a mule. His little foot got stuck in the stirrup and when the mule stopped, he stopped in front of the kitchen where my grandmother was standing at the sink as the mule went across the fields. Granddaddy was behind him the whole way but couldn't stop him. Everyone loved that little boy. A little girl, Joanne, lived just a few days and Nancy died at the age of 47 in Sacramento, CA. I'm having a senior moment with Nancy's name.........she was my favorite.

Wilma Jean Pruitt
Hi, there!

Well, it all started in Pulaski, Giles Co., TN when my maternal grandfather (and Aunt Wilma's dad) escaped in the late 1920's having been convicted along with one of his younger brothers, Grady Angus, for the murder of Edward Inman. He brought his family over to farm for the Womack family in Bedford Co., TN. His name became English and he was commonly referred to as Andy. My grandmother was pregnant with my aunt Bess. All children prior to Aunt Bess - Pauline E., James L., Mary F., Edna E., Wilma J. and my mom Daisy Virginia (called Pete on the farm) have birth certificates in the court house in Pulaski. I, of course, have my mom's in my possession). Immediate ancestors of the Angus family are buried in the Lynnwood Cemetery, Giles, Co.

A Dr. Wright delivered Aunt Bess, and the other three brothers in Bedford, Co.

Aunt Wilma did not have children with Mr. Pruitt. She had also been married to a Roy prior to that and after Mr. Pruitt died, she lived with Joe Ashbaugh. I may have misspelled Uncle Joe's name. Her first husband was James L. Prosser who died in a fire. She moved to the Tacoma area in the 1950's with her three children.

Hope this is good enough!

Thank you for letting me know about the problems with getting a photo of her tombstone. I believe the the Mother and Father are their stones from family stories. Thank you for letting me know. I have also heard family story about the farmer saying it was his land.

Unfortionately, I do not have any further information to share. As you have probably noticed there are 7 Halstead burials at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Benton County, IA. There are also 2 Holstead burials. Thanks.

Henderson family reunions
I was needing info on the Henderson Family reunions. Do you still hold these reunions? My husband's mother is a Henderson. I am working on researching their family. The "Henderson Notes" papers have been helpful. I only have two of those papers dated 1987 and 1988. Thanks for your time. Debra
