Pict of John and Tish
That is my wife, Esther Ann Scrivner, being held by John Turnbow. It is not her brother, Tom. I have just looked at a similar pict. in her baby book.

James Walter Turnbow
The James Walter Turnbow you have listed as the son of John Walter and Martha Brown Turnbow is his nephew. His son James Walter Turnbow was born Nov. 1893 and died 21 March 1979. His wife was Willie Sarah Ward Turnbow. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters.

Gail K
Mary Agnes Brown Fitzgerald
I don't know what to think. The birth date on the death certificate is 1873, along with the date on the marker. Her daughter In law provided the information and stated her parents as Thomas Brown and Martha Dowdy. Her marriage record states she married J L Fitzgerald in Perry County, I believe it was 1905, yet she doesn't show on the 1880 census with the rest of the family. There is a Mary on the 1900 census, born 1882, but I don't think that is her. She already has a memorial, Spring Hill cemetery, Nashville, listed as Agnes.

Thanks for considering this information.

Thomas Brown
I am interested in the list of children posted for Thomas Brown and Martha Dowdy. I have a Mary Ages Brown Fitzgerald whose death certificate indicates them as parents. In her later life she went by Agnes. Do you think she possibly went by Molly earlier? Her birth year was 1881. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Hamilton Walker-Hester's Chapel, Limestone Co., AL
Hi Steven. Thank you very much and wish I could have been more help. I scoured the cemetery and did the best I could on this and can only assume that this is where Hamilton and Mary Walker are buried since it looks like this is a "family plot". If you notice in the area picture, there is a big cedar tree to the left and that is the tree in the first picture with the two stones at the bottom. I posted this message under the "tree with stones" picture: "Hamilton and Mary Walker are listed in Hesters Chapel Cemetery. I've scoured the markers several times and cannot find them except for what looks like a family grouping in the heart of the cemetery. One of those is Hamilton and Mary's son, David N. Walker. There are two stones at the foot of the big Cedar in the picture that have no writing on them. It's possible that they are of Hamilton and his wife, Mary. 12/14/2012 ~Sherry Craig Retzler, #47769635"

RE: Thetis Hodges in Newport Cem, Clay Co, TX
Hi Steve,
Sorry, but I can't find any information about Thethis. It appears that her husband, David, died in Johnson Co, AR in 1865 the year after their last son, David, Jr. was born.

I will let you know if I should find anything.

Walker/Stout family
Wow. I finally found information about ancesters on the Stout side of my family. My Grandfather, Baxter Euing Stout did not leave many records of his family. He was married twice. I am grateful for find-a-grave for providing this research tool. I knew the name of his mother, Elizabeth Walker Stout, and finally located her gravesite.
You have done an amazing job of listing the Walker family. Thank you.

Fredonia Lavina Brown
Hi Steve,

I noticed that you left flowers and a note on the memorial for Fredonia Lavina Brown stating that she was your 3rd great grandmother. She was also my 3rd great grandmother and would love to share any info on this family with you.

Their son James K.P. Brown that married Malissa
Ann Kilpatrick was my 2nd great grandfather. He died very young and I have not been able to learn much about him.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

RE: Location of J.C. Turnbow's gravesite
Hi Steven,

You are most welcome for the Turnbow pictures. J.C.'s grave (the best I remember) is close to the middle of the cemetery. If you go in the gate on the east side and go straight back to the big tree by the "old entrance" He is about 4-5 rows to the West and probably "roughly" 10-15 spaces to the South. I do not know ATK but it is a shame that there is no way to contact them. I wonder if Find-a-grave offers any alternative contact info?

Steve, My apologies, I gave you the wrong name. William & Marys dau. Margaret not Martha was my descendant. Im losing it... Unfortunately, I cannot locate Margaret or her husbands graves (L. Wiley Bragg). I cannot find any record of them so far. Their dau. Martha Bragg married David Jacks Howard. Thier dua. was my grandmother, Sudie Howard. Thanks so much Michelle

Hi Steve, Sorry it took so long to respond to you. William & Mary are my 4th Great Grand Parents thru their daughter Martha. As such I would like to keep maintaining them. If you have anything you would like me to add though, please let me know & I will. I live in the area so I have been to these graves several times. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what the crypts are made of as I am not that knowledgeable.

RE: photo request:: Millie C Golden Walker
Steve,
Wish I could help more, but I do not live in TN. I live in British Columbia, Canada, I enter what I can into findagrave from my more than 30 years of genealogical research. I also add info from files or books I collected to do that research. Please push the photo request button on any site for which you want a photo. Someone from the area will try to fill your request. The Golden's and Walker's are sidelines of my late husband, Stephen Old's line. I am pleased to fill your tranfer request.
Mary
