Combs Cemetery Fayetteville
Some time between August 21st, 2014 and December 2014, the cemetery sign over the entrance to Combs Cemetery was pulled down, or someone hit the stone post and knocked it down. At any rate, both stone posts now need replaced and the metal "Combs Cemetery Sign" needs replaced. Also, please note that the Washington County Inmates are no longer cleaning Combs and there is no longer a Combs Cemetery Association. Someone needs to organize a new cemetery association.

This is my stepgrandfather. My grandmother couldnt afford a tombstone and she is gone now. My aunt went to this cemetery and walked it but couldnt find not even a rock with his name on it. Do you have a exact location of where he is buried in this cemetery? Or do you know of a book with the plots laid out in it? I would appericate any help with this matter.

Sorry but I don't know him or his family.

Mr. Bogard, you don't happen to know this gentleman's family do you? I have posted a number of memorials without knowing who the people were, but I thought I would ask. I am trying to get in touch with his daughter, Alicia.

Would you happen to have GPS coordinates for Mountain Top Cemetery so I can submit the location to Find-a-Grave?

Here is a good website to find the GPS:

Scott, Thank you so much!!! How thoughtful and wonderful. I have been hoping to get these for so long of my paternal grandparents. Tomorrow, August 5, is my birthday and this will make a great present for me, knowing that you have done this. I hope that doesn't sound morbid!!! This will help me so much in bringing my family together. Thanks so very, very much!!!! Debbie

What a nice surprise. Thank you for the photo of Lovin T Greer AND for the extra effort when you found Lovine Greer Hodges. She passed away in Colorado, so I would not have expected to find her in Arkansas. Well done! This is more information for her, if you would like. Lovine Elizabeth (Greer) Hodges - 1 Feb 1923 in Horatio, Sevier, Arkansas to 22 Apr 2006 in Colorado Springs, El Paso, Colorado

No worries at all! I would far rather the pic get posted sooner. I had full intentions of getting to FNC (I live less than 1 block from it), but with all of this rain, I couldn't after I returned from White Oak last weekend, and my work schedule has kept me occupied until today. I'm delighted that there are others in the area doing these too! And by the way - nice photo. Thank you for helping with such a massive (and meaningful) project. Glad you are here!!!!

Thank you so much a the picture of his headstone it is greatly appreciated. By chance, it didn't have dates listed on the other side? Or did you notice if I would be able to contact the cemetery directly like have an office, to maybe see if they had dates, not just a year of birth?

Thanks again
