I'd be honored to help you in that way. I have a lot of relatives in Chapel Hill. Best wishes, Kathy

Might you know how this Gerdes is related to the rest of the Gerdes' in Oak Knoal Cemetery just outside of sterling. Doris is my mother and she has 13 brothers and sister. Most are there but this one is new to me.

Ethelyn & Donald Rahn
Thank you so much for the headstone photo of Ethelyn & Donald. I realize I'm sending edits and photo requests to you, because if I don't do them "in the moment," they'll get shoved aside and forgotten about. Thank you for your continued help. I'm very grateful for it.

RE: Hello Stranger than me
You know it always lifts my heart when I hear from you. Yes, after months and months of not working on my tree, I am getting back to it, although it's slow going because I'm so far behind. My pinched nerve in my neck went away miraculously, so I'm very relieved about that. Thank you for checking on me. I think of you often and hope you are doing well. Take care, my friend. Write anytime!

Glenn Alan Tompkins
Thank you for adding the Personal information for Glen Tompkins #124027213. I see now that his mother was Virginia Fraley, not Helen. I looked up her last name on the Coffelt Report, info for KIA's.

RE: Bernard and Eva Johnson
You are welcome. They were photo requests from Linda Monroe, and if you check my messages, you will read that this couple is her second great-grandparents. Looks like a transfer Mr. Birely. What say you?
Greetings from Casper

My parents headstone picture
thank you so much for taking the picture of my parents headstone Richard and Ruth Dieter! The last time I got to see it was when I scattered my moms ashes on her side of the stone. I really appreciate getting this picture thank you again.

Kevin Kleckner
Jennie Kleckner Cross
Thanks so much for adding a grave picture for Aunt Jennie.
I've added a picture of the Reverend Cross on his memorial if you are interested.
I had her listed as born in Kent, and you pointed out the cemetery record has her born in Pearl City. Pearl City is likely more correct than Kent, but the family was living on a 40 acre farm near Loran. I suspect she was born there, but her father was away at the Civil War, and her mom could well have been staying in Pearl City at the time. The family moved to Pearl City in 1865.
Thanks again!

RE: Jesse Holly
Yesterday I went to the Dixon Library and looked up their cemetery listing for Franklin Grove. This list came from a cemetery walk that was done in 1990, I believe. Whoever did it at that time listed that stone as saying "Grandfather." And they found no other Hollys in the cemetery (nor have I). There is a Holley, but of a much later vintage. For now I think I'm going to delete my "Unknown Holly" and add those photos to Jesse's memorial page. Thanks for your input!

Wayne Ainsworth
Ainsworth Grave Marker
Thank you so much for posting the photo of the grave marker for Henry C. Ainsworth and his wife, Emma Miller Ainsworth. You have provided a tremendous service for me and the other genealogists in this line of the Ainsworth family.

RE: Jesse Holly
I took a photo of the top of my "unknown" Holly in Franklin Grove Cemetery and posted it. It's really hard to make out, but I think it may say "Grandfather." Do you think it may simply be another marker for Jesse Holly, and should not be on a separate memorial page?

RE: Jesse Holly
I will check on my unknown Holly next time I'm in Franklin Grove Cemetery.

Jesse Holly
You're absolutely right... I think when I made the memorial I couldn't believe there was someone that old in Franklin Grove.... so I assumed that it was the son of David Holly, also named Jesse. Makes me want to go back and take a look at my unknown Holly in that cemetery to see if I can make out the name written across the top. I know I couldn't read it in person, but perhaps with a better photo I can enhance it at home. Thanks for catching my error.

Thank you so much for providing photos of the gravesites for Mary Getz, Abraham Landis, and Maria Landis. It's such a blessing to have someone help you in your search. I'm still working full time and it's hard to get to all the places. I really appreciate the time you put in to provide these to me.

Thanks again, God Bless you,
